Werewolf

Hircine’s Bounty

Hircine’s Fortitude (morph): Reduced the Health and Stamina Recovery cap of this morph to 333, down from 666.

Pounce

Brutal Pounce (morph): Fixed an issue where Brutal Carnage’s Damage over Time was not properly inheriting the damage increase from Carnage’s rank up progression. This will result in approximately 3.3% damage increase of this morph’s bleed.

Savage Strength: This passive now grants Major Resolve on both ranks, rather than increasing your Armor by 5000/10000. This was done to tone down some of the staggering defenses that Werewolves could obtain with little to no effort.

Werewolf Transformation

Pack Leader (morph): The direwolves summoned from this Ultimate no longer taunt enemies and cause them to behave erratically, since they cannot be targeted.

Note: Werewolves will no longer animate when activating player-sourced Synergies.

Damn! Gonna miss those howls.

Wolfs will have a big buff in No-CP BG. The base health / stamina / magicka increase will buff them.

Yep, and ZOS failed to adress the biggest issue which is the HP based heal. The defensive nerfs to savage strength was needed, but allowing them to continue to stack HP to increase the potency of the is not fine.

I dont understand the pack leader change, purely because the changes are already in place and already happen. I've never ever seen enemies get taunted by the direwolves since their health bars got removed. The direwolves used to taunt and take aggro when they had health bars and could be killed, but they haven't had health bars for so long now. Enemies i fought yesterday were not taunted by the direwolves.

That is a ZOS typo, btw. Savage Strength never increased a werewolf's armor.

Curious that resistances were nerfed even more, since werewolf doesn't have access to a Purge or Cleanse. Should be much easier to lock them down and nuke and dot them to death now. And the "staggering defenses" referenced are nothing compared to a Thews / Crimson necro Goliath, especially with Emperor or Imperial Physique buffs, or even a permablock DK or warden. Werewolf is giving up a lot of damage to dress for ultraheals..... just like any tank build.

They changed savage strength passive a while ago to grant werewolf its armor.

It makes sense that they toned down wolves resistances, they toned down the effectiveness of other defensive major minor buffs. Leaving werewolves untouched.

That's a new one on me. I thought it was physical and spell resistance (5000/10000).

Armor value and physical/spell resistance terms are used interchangeably.

I'm going to miss the howls too, since it was a clear indicator that I had effectively activated a synergy. We're at the point that we're removing combat cues, now? 🤦‍♀️

So you're saying this set buffs itself because Armor is also Physical/Spell Resistance. Interesting.
