    Thank you for posting this.

    After reading through them though I am pretty disappointed.

    Most of the options are just copy-pastes from the old CP stars and there are no real options for specialization when it comes to dealing damage. It is easy to see how the existing meta of slotting the two +Critical Damage stars and +Single Target Damage, and +Weapon/Spell Damage to damage abilities will simply be ported over.

    What a missed opportunity this is.

    This feels like a first pass to see how it goes before expanding it later.
    They can literally just add slottable items later without worrying too much about balance or power creep

    The blade of woe one is so much better than the old shadowstrike. I don't care about the less xp of blade of woe, being able to use blade of woe combo is really cool.

    woooow, the one that gives recovery for every 10 ultimate stored up is really clever. It's so hard to choose which ones I want to get now.

    I FEEL BAD FOR NEW PLAYERS THAT AINT GOING TO BE ABLE TO OPEN UP STARS THEIR AFTER since we got to go in order so to open up other areas not just pick and chose the stars we want but my 1415cp account sure is going to enjoy this new system

    I didn't see anything that reduces the cost of dodgeroll, except for the star that requires you to have a damage shield.

    Did I miss it? If it's gone this is going to make me tremendously sad.

    Strategic recovery... That's broken....
    So if I collect 500 ultimate I gain 2500 health recovery? Before bonuses such as major and minor recovery for 40% and 20% changing that to 4000...

    If that's not a typo that's broken.

    Nah, it goes perfectly with the cash shop only ultimate recharging machine.

    But yes. That one was... yes. Ridiculous even without the introduction of the cash shop only ultimate recharging machine, but reading this made me more angry at them introducing it.

    So, I need cc 2700 ~ 3000 point to make a top level character. So there is a huge gap between new, medium and veteran player.
    The most important question is: How many grind do we need to reach the top? Currently I am on 900 CP. Where will I start in the new system?

    there could be a silver lining thou:

    The CP cap per update has been lifted, and you can now spend up to the 3600 point cap. We’ve adjusted the rate at which you gain CP to accommodate for the cap lift.


    from the patchnotes. I dont know how severe this is and how easy it will be to gain CPs now. but maybe someone did test this allready on PTS?

    They told it will be faster to get 1200 CP and after that it will will be similiar to old progression so... :D

    FYI for all passive maxed out.

    Warfare/Blue CP passives: 860 points
    Craft/Green CP passives: 655 points
    Fitness/Red CP passives: 465 points.

    1980 total for all. If my count and math are right.

    Because I mean its looking like you need somewhere like ~700+ warfare CP just to get all the relevant passives maxxed out (assuming you don't worry about the martial boosting ones on a magicka build and vice versa), and that's before spending anything on the slottable ones.
    So if its an even split that means somewhere like 2500-3000 CP is needed. Oh boy do I suddenly have a long way to go.

    When you consider that you are only limited to 4 per color, you will be forced to make some choices, especially in pvp.
    In Pve you'll like have whatever ends up giving the most dmg/healing/survival, so there I won't see much choice, sadly.

    Yes at the moment it appears to be an even split requirement. If they got rid of that requirement it would help a lot.

    But given on PTS you can currently only allocate 810cp rather than max I'm not sure the even split is a given. Hope it's not...
