as someone commented this is a brilliant idea. they gave everyone 8k more health, now remove the 5k extra health cyrodiil gets. there is literally no point to getting it anyway

Sounds like a good suggestion to me, though imo its still too early to reliably predict how all of these changes combined will play out.

Exactly this. Way to early to be calling for any changes as the PTS isnt even up yet. A lot of these changes look busted for pvp on paper, but nothing in this game ever is as it looks on paper.

Everyone is not getting 8k more health. It's a replacement for the 20% from old CP, which impacted EVERYTHING (attributes, food, glyphs, set bonuses, etc), what it will come to in the end has yet to be seen. Enough kneejerk threads, the PTS isn't even online yet.

    That was me I think.
I would almost go further and suggest a slight health debuff of 2k from battlespirit.

It is no secret; health stacking is a big issue. Everyone now gets 7256 additional base health. This bloats up to a good 8400 health with 5 heavy and 5-1-1. Some specs would see an even bigger increase. Like Wardens who have an additional 10% hp.

So removing anywhere between 2-3k health as a debuff would keep it around what it is now, while tackling the issue by the newly given 4k stamina and magicka to increase overall damage.

This is mainly from a no CP perspective, where it will have a very big impact. That is very easy to see even on paper.

So if its true how come some of my character were at roughly 16k with food buff on(camoran trone)?
My understanding is that now it will be 16k+camoran trone(or whatever food you like to eat)

yes it was! Brilliant idea bro. I wish those at zos was able to come up with ideas similar. no cp is what i play indeed, and for me it was sort of a cheap escape out of the immortal tanks meta. Even though it can occur in no cp as well, its not even nearly as bad

I've wanted to see a sliding scale for the health bonus myself. Like if you have 25K or less you get the 5K and the bonus goes down as your base health goes up to wear a full tanked out guy gets no health bonus.

BUT, i'd like to see how all the CP changes feel now.

I also think there is a better way to fix heavy armor in pvp than taking away health or the changes to armor they made. Just move the magic damage taken to medium (maybe give them another passive). And add a 5% deals less damage debuff per piece to heavy armor.

Many simple blanket change ideas like this seem to end up hurting everyone other than the intended target, likely these health crutch builds will receive a minor hit to their absurdly high health pools and builds that run leas become essentially 1 dawnbreaker and a spin from being instantly flattened. a better alternative is soft and hard caps to introduce a ceiling to how hard one can crutch on health.

Oh me too. I left CP when I noticed how much easier it is to actually kill someone in no CP and how fluent combat feels. Now it will be just like CP. :D I am not looking forward to everyone having over 8k more health. Generally, I like that they added the stats CP used to give. I always wished for that.

Though that is too much health.

The game, quite obviously, is designed around CP. The easiest option is to remove all No-CP environments, which looks to be the way we are headed. I'll wager they start phasing it out this year.

I am fine with as I have never and never will set foot into a no-cp enabled play mode. I stopped playing BG's when they changed it and never looked back.

For those that enjoy this playstyle, just look at it as playing ESO on hard mode. Because that's what it has become over the coarse of the last 2 years.
    Here since Beta.

This is the answer and also tuned to a perfect amount.
