Ya but its kind of the same problem with houseguests. Im very interested in buying them but they havent released any im interested in. Im very interested in companions but I want a good selection to fine one I like.

Which is weird, because the game is otherwise good at using lore-friendly names for NPCs.

I still think these are strange short forms, probably of Bastianus and Marise or something. Would still prefer them to have normal names, though.

There are many different types of roleplay, and not all of them (based on) classic p&p. There are letter roleplaying games, subforms of LARP that are more like improvision theatre, chat and forum roleplays... The very basic definition of a roleplay is "acting like someone else within a story setting", nothing less, nothing more. And actually people dressing up and taking different roles than they are in reality is a thing mankind has always done, millennia before p&p was invented.

If I adventure with a friend within ESO and have an AI companion with me that I declare my servant, then I want to have him dressed in a way that reflects that, as a servant would be dressed differently than a mage or a guard. If you don't need that - fine, you don't have to. Some people would enjoy it.

really wish they dumped the transform for a melee skele/draugr knight/assassin, and a perma cast like the fluffy... that gets in the way of everything and does less damage than the other 4 summons<_<

Instead of shoeboxing me into having a dunmer or an imperial. Two of my LEAST FAVORITE RACES.

So this whole system means nothing to me until I can either make my own choices with appearance, or they release an altmer companion.

But seriously. Not adding in A. An option for every race from the start or B. Customized companions, is going to be a serious missed money making opportunity.

*edit* This applies to houseguest as well. I would already dropped good money on house guests but you only add in a select few races and options. Like I don't want anything you have available and it boggles me that zenimax can't just add more literally anytime. Look how many freaking npcs are in the game. Crud just let me walk up and recruit literally any npc for my houses.

It kinda is our business when OP is saying "us" and not "I". OP can't say what the rest of us must have.

@CMDR_Un1k0rn They said platinum blond! That's clearly a Golden Saint, not a seducer! Not sure why anyone would want one of them though, they are so terribly cranky. Almost like they always wake up on the wrong side of Oblivion
