No CP PvP will change dramatically in 6.3

All characters have had their base Health increased to 16,000, up from 8744 and their Magicka and Stamina has increased to 12,000, up from 7958.
Characters now also take 15% reduced damage at base, to reduce the loss of the mitigation from the Champion Point system.
Characters now also start with 20 Weapon and Spell Damage at level 1 and gain an additional 20 per level, up to 1000 at level 50.

No CP PvP will change dramatically once the patch hits. Between the stuff quoted above and the armor changes, it's a crazy amount of changes in one sweep (typical ZOS), but it's the first patch for a long time that gets me excited. I'm really unsure how it will play out, the increased stats and damage reduction for sure has the potential to ruin the comparably fast paced style of no CP, but I'll stay optimistic for now. Increased base stats for everyone is an indirect nerf to proc sets, that is very welcome.

Depending on the new CP system, CP PvP might even be an option for me again (not holding my breath though).

Last but not least, permanent free Major Gallop for everyone!

Thumbs up ZOS, I'm seriously considering spending a few bucks on this game again. Altough I'll wait with that until the patch has hit the live servers without melting them.

Also adept rider finally got buffed.

jokes aside. If they dont fix proc/heavy/mistform meta in non-cp it will only get worse with those buffs to heavy armor.

Proc sets on pvp will be disabled for a next test in feb I think!

Not only is it a dramatic change to no-CP, it is going to completely change why people play no-CP--faster paced PvP, less forgiving, where non-bots can actually die, and there are ends to 1v1s.

If there isn't a battle spirit change to accommodate this, this is probably the change that gets me finally off this game.

This would be a complete disaster. If anything they should remove CP for all PvP formats.

One of my thoughts when reading the combat preview. But it's not there, yet.

Yeah i really dislike this, the whole point for me to play noCP is so everyone isn't super tanky. With 7.3k more base hp and 15% dmg mitigation I don't see how anyone will die. 1k spell/wpn dmg won't offset this imo.

I'm pretty sure ZOS is trying to reunite both no CP and CP PvP. If done right, I'm all for it, and that comes from a no CP player.

I don't see how light armor isn't completely dead for PvP if nothing major changes. Since the weapon/class skill lines all essentially stayed the same, the most dangerous opponents will continue to be Stamina builds, and taking an extra +5% damage from everything they run - including almost all of their proc sets - on top of already having lower resists to begin with, is a total joke.

Throw in the new version of Selene, which with its slight delay should be combo'able with Dizzying Swing -> Medium Attack damage + stun + Vateshran 2h proc + delayed burst ability -> Dawnbreaker, and being 1-shot in light armor is likely to become a routine occurrence. This means that heavy armor Oblivion's Foe, Overwhelming Surge, Ice Furnace, etc...depending on class, will remain the go-to choices for as long as the proc meta holds. And if proc sets ever get major nerfs, Magicka is likely to be in a really bad place, barring other (extensive) changes.

Yeah, no. After taking a look at the new CP system (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/559555/cp-2-0-slottable-abilities-and-passives), we still need no CP PvP.

I like the new system better than the old one, and there is a lot of stuff that would greatly benefit my personal play style. But just thinking about facing an opponent using

    - heavy armor
    - Juggernaut CP
    - On Guard CP
    - Slippery CP
    - Strategic Reserve CP

    ... yeah, no.

Edit: Added Strategic Reserve to the horror list.

Werewolfs&wardenss likes this in No-CP BG. In the patchnote there is no word about battle spirit changes.
My WW (yes, I am ugly I know) already have 39K HP in BG. So what now? Over 45K? So, you can stack Selene with Vateshran? Well, and? One howl and you can start from the beginning. Same with warden. Or Stamsorc with pet.

The extra base stats are a tradeoff for the hidden percentage base stats bonus from CP, right?

1)If the CP system will be done right(less vertical, more horizontal), will be gained faster(by low levels) and will not add to lag, perhaps no cp environments will no longer be required.

2)With the upcoming changes, I really do think that the extra health from battle spirit is no longer required.

3)The extra base SD/WD bonus will help with countering proc sets. Also on the CP system I think you have more options for skill damage synergies compared proc damage synergies(extra sd/wd, magicka/stamina/crit chance/crit damage).

Overall I like the direction they are going with, it will take sometime to balance.

There is not a single word mentioned about the battle spirit, so it looks like thatt remains same.

If you saw the new CP system you can see there is a huge gap between beginner, mid and veteran player. If there is no no-CP BG the new/not maxed player will suck a lot.

Nope. Nothing will change. People will still health stack and run multiple (free) damage proc sets.

    That meta isn’t going anywhere.

The test is too see what is causing the lag and what helps. They are not permanently disabling proc sets.

OMG, they will use Engine *** Guardian :-) The problem was not the resist, but the heal. And now WW have +10k health in No-CP environment. It will become a plague in BG. Together with Necro tank/StamDen

Do they normally not have a no-cp campaign in the PTS server? I didn't see one when I popped in there last night but have never done PTS so I wasn't sure.
