Overland will become even less rewarding.

It seems to me that players are becoming even stronger this update not to mention next update when we get Companions. Overland Content does not feel rewarding when enemy NPCs do almost no damage and die in a hit or two. Now that players are getting the CP states earlier that should mean even new brand new Players can easily handle buffing the NPCs 50-100%.

Ah yes, the voice of someone that doesn't use a Tank most of the time...

If it's too easy for you, don't use a Companion. Hell, take off your armor too while you're at it!

Even not using Champ points overland is easy except maybe Craglorn. Overland difficulty needs a rework or maybe add harder public dungeons to overland maps or something. The content is ridiculously easy and I am a casual.

Wow.. OP made some great points, maybe read through the patch notes first. All players will be stronger without need of investment into CP. Overland is already extremely easy, you really don't need to be an end game veteran elitest to notice this.

How about instead of shooting down the idea, provide some insight as to why things should stay the same? If we're getting a lot stronger (+7k hp, -15% damage reduction, +4k stam/mag, +1000 weapon/spell damage) for just hitting level 50, then why should the content that was balanced 5 years ago, remain the same?

The adjustments account for less reliance on the CP system as it becomes more customizable, but the entire arguement that overland doesn't need to be readjusted flies out the window when every player, regardless of CP level will have increased stats.

This is before even considering the companion system. Whats with this notion of "Brand new players die in overland all the time." Seriously? I mean come on, try any other mmo, this game is vastly easier and it's because the scaling system introduced in one tamriel buffs everything you have at lv 1 versus level 50. You actually get weaker the more you level up. If you start a brand new character, you will find skills like Major Brutality give like +25% weapon damage instead of the 20%. There is already a system in place to help "brand new players". What about everyone else who actually hits level 50 which is probably currently 95% of the playerbase, it doesn't take that long to level up.

It would be nice to have an optional difficulty setting for overland and questing, it really defeats all urgency and excitement for new DLC story content when you feel like an absolute god.. when even facing big baddies.
