Pretty sure it was late 2015, but possibly 2016

I know the game was not Balanced to your level at that time - and you couldn't complete a delve boss solo unless you were much higher level than it was. I changed characters a lot and of course had no idea about level 50 and CPs.

To be 'competitive' in just Overland content I would stay in the Waling prison, leveling up to 7 or 8 just killing daedra over and over. Which created the problem of inventory and looting. I couldn't mail stuff to my own characters I wanted to sell (had miniscule gold at that point, of course, and wanted to sell anything I could) - so I made a second account, created one character, pushed them through to kenarthi,, then boat to vulkel guard and posted in a nice safe spot in the bank.

I could mail items I wanted to sell to the second account, and delete items tha5t had no value.

In short, had to think outside the box back in those days, just to succeed at the regular quests and stuff.

On the Main quest quest it was - OK complete this. Got that done? OK, come back when you have reached level 10. Did that? Now do this quest. Done? OK come back when you reach level 20. etc etc etc
