I usually sub for 3 months, then take a break to play other games for a few months. Then, when I come back I play I unsubbed for a month or two before my inventory fills up with crafting materials and I need to re-sub. I don't think I would ever sub if there were a way to permanently buy the craft bag.

I have to agree. I have almost 50k crowns from subbing. I have no interest in the crown store, so I'll hold on to those in case there is ever a crafting bag to buy. I bought the assistants and the character slots. I can easily buy any DLC I lack with that (though I already own everything up to DB since I was not subbing pre-crafting bag and I bought DB on sale 75%. But boy does inventory management suck without ESO+.

    I have ESO+ constantly.
I’ve always had a subscription on my main account. I dropped ESO+ on my second account, but since I’m leveling new characters on my third account, I picked up ESO+ there. (I do crafting on most of my characters, and it’s hard to play without the craft bag). In addition, we pay for yet another ESO+ account for my husband.

Craft bag is probably one of the main reasons.

    I have ESO+ constantly.
I would like to cancel it now, but the bank space and craft bag are the only reasons i keep it. I just have too much stuff.

I subscribed to ESO plus about one month after getting the game on the XBOX and until I'll play, I'll keep it. Other than the huge benefit that the craft bag brings, I'm glad to contribute to the game. What really bothers me is that, on top of that, I have also to pay for the XBOX subscription, that I'd gladly do without.

4 years of playing and never felt the need for it. Craft bag? sure its nice but like, just don't collect useless mats and you are fine, don't need 10 stacks of each trait stone, don't need cp30 craft mats if I'm CP 1235, don't really do any provisioning or Enchanting since just buying the food from guild stores is not a huge loss at all. free eso+ clears my bank of mats always and I do have 200 slots of space naturally which more than enough to keep all important mats and have still loads of space for gear and stuff. Home storage is where I store most of my sets and my 10 Chars have their gear on them. all healer stuff on healer and tank stuff on tank and DD stuff split between whatever DD I feel like playing. DLC? I just bought every single DLC with in game gold since there's nothing else to really spend them on. and Chapters we all have to buy with real money anyways at launch so no loss there either.

All it takes to survive without is a little bit knowledge of what is trash and not worth keeping and some little 5min of sorting out inventories and banks after a long day of gaming :)

    This^

I don't feel ESO+ offers enough to be worth it's price.

It only requires a small amount of effort to live without the craft bag. Like the OP said, put all mats on the bank, get rid of all useless mats and don't hoard duplicate stacks of anything you gain faster than you use it up. Then use home storage for gear, rare mats and other keepsakes. I additionally use two of the alts I never play for additional storage. They hold whatever random stuff I want to keep despite not needing it, like spare motif pages and so on, but I might as well join a trade guild and sell them all.

As for the monthly crowns, it's hardly a good deal. Buying a bulk of crowns during a sale is much cheaper. Then use these crowns to buy all DLCs and own them forever. Have to buy chapters for real money anyway, no matter if ESO+ or not.

And all the other benefits are very miniscule imo. Don't see why I would need extra movement speed and thanks to the daily rewards I already have more xp-boosting scrolls than I'm ever going to need.

The only thing I really actually need is the extra furnishing limit. But a feature that has a almost purely cosmetic purpose is not worth any money to me. Housing in general often feels like shameless cash grab, just look at the prices for houses and furniture packs.

Had it for three months after I hit cp810 but unsubbed fairly rapidly. Didn't want it levelling up because I ran a lot of RNDs on various toons and it seemed crazy to pay to be penalised with DLCs in the RND queue. Enjoyed it for the three months I had it but didn't really use the dlc content that much and, when they introduced the stickerbook and made RNDs give transmutes, it was a no brainer to cancel it. The crafting bag is nice but a pretty minor convenience; it's just not worth the extra hassle of having to do DLCs when I just want a quick RND.

It's kinda sad though how I swore I would never pay a monthly (or in this case every third month) fee to play a game, and look at me now. Well at least you don't need ESO+ to actually play the game, my reasons are mainly, more bank space, and more room for all my crafting junk.

P.s. Just download Dustman. Once you've got it set up the way you want it, it just dumps all the stuff you don't need to trash and voila, it's entirely automated. Whenever you hit a merch it will just sell all the junk with no intervention required.

I have it while I'm playing, and shut it off when I'm not. Once upon a time I might have let it run, knowing I may well come back after whatever is distracting me quits distracting me, but I have to watch my money a bit more closely these days, so...

I occasionally get it for a month but most of the time go without.
Thanks for putting more options in the poll, it's nice to have one I can answer accurately. :)

I recently worked out for another thread that I've subscribed for a total of 5 months over almost 6 years (5 out of 35 months, or just over 14% of the time).

I've gotten it for various reasons: once or twice I wanted to dye costumes, once it was the cheapest way to buy the amount of crowns I wanted and a couple of times it was to get the statuette or the crown store discounts. But most of the time I don't want or need the benefits so it's not worth paying for it. I buy all the story DLC and don't do dungeons enough for it to be worth getting those (if I ever do want them I'll buy the DLC), I have a system for keeping my materials organised (and don't store much other stuff so space isn't an issue) and I can never even remember what the other benefits are without looking them up so they're clearly not important to me.

Oh, I have used the extra furnishing allowance in one house, but I waited until the decorating was finished then added 200 books, which I'm still sorting out, so I don't need to be able to add or change items all the time.

Since PvP got butchered i don't pay anymore. Actually since the lag got overwhelmingly bad, somewhat over a year ago. I buy DLC for gold, and manage my inventory with a dedicated crafting char and inventory boxes from imperial city.
