I have only had that happen once. After a relog it has never happened again.

They get stuck often for me, and then they get lost some way.
At least they do not break CC while they are missing, which is their top priority when by my side. Breaking crowd control followed immediately by a target switch to my target so the cc'ed mob can aggro me.
