May i ask how your Character name was? Because if i see a lot of MrAA, Mrs.oo or likeaboss etc. standing in a public dungeon farming bosses, i report them all. If you have a rather stupid name and like to farm i could imagine that you got reported because of that.

My character name was Peanut Buttuh, nothing offensive as far as I know.

Guess you were flagged for offensive names due to "butt"? I know it sounds stupid but still...a good excuse for somebody hell-bent on lore and annoyed by your name to report it.

getting banned once can be construed as a mistake. getting banned twice leads me to believe we arent getting the full story here. you must be doing something questionable.

This is part of the problem, if I am doing something wrong, I have not informed. I cannot even begin to think what it could be. I've had to ctrl f4 my client several times due to loading screen errors, and this past week I've been getting some launcher errors, but that's it.

All the bans seem to be as a result of duplicating items or equipment, however I have done neither.

I've also heard reports of people just falling through the world and getting banned for it, however once again I have never fallen through the world textures on this character so I don't believe it to be that.. so I am truly at a loss as to why this is happening, and would LOVE some information.

If you are reporting botting, warn surrounding players in /say to get away from the "botter" crowd lest the risk getting caught up in the report. I make sure I check names too before, so I just dont blindly report. If they dont get out of the way when I am reporting, well they had their chance. They could easily just come back at another time to finish their quest. If you are jumping on the bandwagon with the other botters, then it's exploiting and you culd be banned for that, even if your not in the initial report. Let me tell you these botters are RL hackers selling virtual items on the internet. They are criminals, they do business with you, they data phish your account, and will hack and steal your account at a later date to sell to someone else. If you buy from the gold spammers or buy virtual items on the internet, you open the doors to all kinds of bad things. Take a cyber forensics course from a college and you will learn all kinds of horrible things RL criminals can do to do in game. They prey on game players, mostly young and naive. You can fight them by always taking some time to report cheaters/hackers/botters/gold spammers. Selling virutal items is not a legit business, if it were, they wouldnt be spamming it in chat channels and hacking in game mail to send u ads. I can only warn you though.

Also dont think that by being outspoken against botters and cheaters they wont try striking back at you. Especially if you start educating people in game about botters/gold spammers, they dont like that. I've had attempted IP logins from other countries, because well I'm tryin to stop them from making money. That wont stop me tho. I just hope they give up and move on to another game, and they will, if you keep fighting them. WoW has so many stolen and hacked accounts it's unreal, and it's mostly because people gave up the fight and just ignored them instead of keeping the fight up and ALWAYS reporting. This is my game, my hobby and I will not stand for low life criminals to ruin it for me.
If I am going to quote someone, it's going to be me.

    Hey Rob
I posted in your previous thread. I was banned, unbanned, and banned again as well. I've also met other people who have been banned twice since then.
I sent in tickets to the other language supports, but that didn't work for me. Instead I made another thread and got a response that way, and I'm now unbanned (again).
I didn't bother posting again to the last thread because the thread was mysteriously no longer bumping to the top.
I would suggest editing your original post to include your ticket number in case a mod decides to help you.

As far as naming go, I'm sure they check the full name... only name so far I felt oblidged, indeed due to the number of young kids playing, to report was the last name "Titan D***" Some people really have to start thinking before they create "l33t" names that are offensive or plain rude

That may be, but being unbanned and apologized to just to be banned again the next day...that usually means an accident. If he was cheating, he wouldn't have been unbanned the first time.

I have no clue as to why I keep getting banned, I feel like there must be some kind of process I'm doing that flags me on their auto ban system or something, both times I've been banned I've CTRL F4'd my client out on a long loading screen, so perhaps it has something to do with that?

I've tried contacting support to ask them if they can give me a reason why I'm banned, but no answer!

You'd think for 100 USD you would get a reason as to why your account is simply disabled on a whim.

I read lots of forums and know that if you are ALT F4ing over and over and over again on a specific load screen you deserve to be banned and you know exactly why!! Stop acting surprised.

I highly suggest creating a new ticket if you haven't already for this banning and putting the ticket number in the original post.
This is how mods were able to unban me both times.

@xxs0cksxx, you know ZOS support posted here that they accidentally banned a few hundred people last week, right? They had to apologise. It does happen.

You also know that they did not say that people in general were innocent? It could very well be that they had reason to ban them but decided to only give the account an internal warning.
Yes it does happen. And people complaining in the forum about a ban without even thinking about what they MIGHT have done wrong, should stay banned.

Open a ticket to appeal a ban. Most of the people complaining know exactly what they got banned for (vampire trolling, griefing, duping, buying obviously duped items, etc.)

Firstly, I'm not saying the OP is innocent or guilty of anything. I don't know them. I don't know their circumstances. I have no evidence of any type to make any sort of judgement - nor is it my business to do so.

    With that said,

People like you should be banned if you ask me. Always so quick to condemn people saying that "they should be banned" when you have no idea what you are talking about..

Have a dose of this bro - and yeah I was wrongfully banned/unbanned :

    QBoZyP5.jpg

Now Gladly take your foot out of your mouth and move along. There should be a corner to put people like you who are so quick to judge with no reason.

I had to put up with comments just like yours the night I was unjustly banned, as well as many other innocent folks with snide comments directed towards their post. It's not pleasant being called a cheater when you have done nothing wrong.

Still now, every time I hit the log in button I'm wondering "Am I banned again".. because once it happens to you, it does not go away. They do indeed make mistakes on their bans.

    Have some compassion.

I agree. Though I'm sure they know we're innocent and they know it's easy to get a rise out of a guy by kicking him when he's down.
It's a really abusive form of trolling and the mods probably should consider disallowing that behavior.
    I suggest starting with @Ragnar_Lodbrok ;)

As I said on a closed thread - we really need a "why was I banned;" where we get the complaint and ZOS gets to tell their side of the story. Will never happen. But it would me nice to put all of these threads in one place and also see what the outcome and cause was.

We understand that these bans can be frustrating but please, remain civil and constructive when participating on the forums.

If you received a ban or suspension on your account and you would like to submit an appeal, you can do so on our website by following these steps:
    • Open the official ESO Support site and click on "Email."
    • Once the support email opens, choose Account / Billing under "What kind of problem are you experiencing?"
    • Choose "I would like to appeal a suspension/ban" from the Select a Subcategory dropdown menu.
    • Describe the problem in the space provided.
    • Click Submit Question to send the appeal to Customer Support

While we understand that not being able to access the game can be frustrating, we ask that you please refrain from creating forum threads about a ban or suspension you have received. We are unable to address or reverse account bans from the forums.

    Thank you for understanding.
