If they nerf the gold reward from Daily writs they should do the same with all Daily quests. That said if you did get your way and they nerfed the gold reward, prepare for a bumping up of prices for items on guild stores as players try to make up for their lost profit, I have seen it before in SWTOR they raised the credit sink tax on their global auction house most sellers adjusted their prices to compensate for the lost profits.
Its not free gold it takes considerable gold and time investment to get to the point where you have a large number of characters with all 7 crafts maxed out and fully leveled to get that max gold quest reward value on each character.

You all alredy have profit from mats from these dailys, OP is right with to much gold being added into game with these dailys with so many players and their character
wanna gold? just sell these mats
I don't sell anything. (well, except to vendors, but mats aren't worth much there)
Crafting writs is the only major gold I make. And I spend nearly all of it on furniture & houses.
(because I also don't buy anything from other players)
from all these writs you are definitelly not on minus from rewards, sell trash and some basic mats and for minimum you are on 0, get an gold material which wont be just single if you are doing on few characters and you have pure profit from this without gold in reward from these writs with not to mention for additional craft writs you can get it which can make you evenhigher profit by doing just crafts
you know what happens in real life when you cut off the money supply... you get massive stagnation and economic collapse... right? This is HS economics...
Who cares how much stuff you have (gold mats), if nobody has any gold to buy them, then you can't sell them for anything, and your entire premise collapses.

What does a gold mat give you when you sell it to a vendor? Never tried. But I'd be surprised if it was more than 10-100g.
Not a lot of "profit", especially when a good week at the Luxury Furniture dealer can set you back 100k+.

In truth, I was expecting someone to say something like that. In fact, I do these dailies every day for 9 characters.
BrownChicken wrote: »That's 4.6k gold per day from 1 character and 50k per day if you have 9 characters.
what was proposse it was jsut or nerf for gold reward from daily crafts - I will have no problem if that was also for other daily quests but for here....daily quests like for delves, WB's etc are giving you 2x less gold in reward than craft dailys which are far faster then getting into delve, WB and doing your job
or
if people dont want this nerf then raise taxes from selling items in guidl stores and vendors
we dont need both of these at once tbh but one of these things whould come or other gold sink becasue currently we have to many ways getting gold from not selling to players and not so much of gold sinks
How about we pester ZOS about the many things that re broken that need, and can be fixed and not try to pester them with things that re not broken, that do not need to be fixed?
The ESO economy is a brick house, it functions perfectly without issue. What you call inflation is not, it's market pressures, supply and demand and that sort of thing. Or allow me to put this in a different way for you, so you get it.
The amount of gold you get for doing daily writs is counted on by casual players that don't spend hours a day playing the game. They are sometimes weekend warriors and only log on and do writs to get their mats, gold, etc. Take that away from them then they might just simply leave the game. If they do that, that for sure without any doubts affects the real world finances in regards to ZOS itself. Fewer players, fewer subs, less money coming in and the more expensive everything will get so ZOS can cover their losses due to your horrible idea if it were instituted, where you suggest taking away the tiny bit of gold people get doing daily writs.
I am not sure why you are so hyper focused on this being the issues OP, but it's just simply not true, not the case, not correct or factual in any way at all. TO be blunt, you have absolutely no clue what it is you are talking about, none at all, not even the tiny little slightest bit.

they are illusionally more valuable because there is more gold in game - more gold in game -> higher prices for anything

yes it is free gold because your cost of dailys are always refunded in just mats rewards and additional profit if you will get additional rewards as gold mats, writs

As a result, we accelerate inflation, which will soon be out of reach. Just remove the gold from the awards. Players are already getting gold materials that they could sell.
