    @zvavi

The post size is getting riduclous, im tired of refuting the same assumptions and speculations and misunderstanding over and over. I have explained the system i proposed in great detail many many times and refuted so many strawman there is a shortage of straw.

My final reply on this subject was to @Iccotak unless someone presents me with a new argument. You two keep using the same arguments which i keep debunking and its just boring now. If you manage to come up with something new by all means present it but i read over your post and its just a rehash of stuff i already explained or debunked.
You really haven’t debunked the points that anyone countered. You claim you did and/or claim that the points others brought up aren’t an issue.

But like @hafgood said your solution heavily relies on people not being people.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Only if story bosses in Overland/zone stories get an optional hard mode that introduces actual mechanics.

No reason why y'all should be able to step on the one thing group players have and us not be able to get a little something we've been requesting for solo play for a long time.

    I absolutely agree.

Also, ZOS can make a bit more money out of it - 3000 crowns for story mode or something.

As much as I loathe to say it, yes, I will pay extra to have this option. I am sick of running like a mad thing each time there’s an Undaunted event, or where there is yet another ‘year long’ content and release of new dungeons. Why bother having stories and NPCs? Speed runners don’t care.

Just give those people a big empty space with lots of monsters and bizarre mechanics and they’ll be delirious with joy.

Please do stuff like this. It could be the foundation of a clever rework to the dungeon system because it's getting stale. And DLC dungeons are just as stale regardless of what gimmick each dlc dungeon has.

They don't need to - and shouldn't - charge extra for story mode. Adding story mode to DLC dungeons is a huge incentive for some players to look at this content and pay for it at all. There's good reason why I haven't bought any of the DLC dungeons - I play RPGs for story, and I can't reliably experience the story in DLC dungeons. Give me that, and I will buy them. I'm more than happy to pay for actual, proper game content. That's a monetization model I support. Charging extra for something that should simply be a built-in feature, though? To oblivion with that crap.

I agree with you that features such as a dungeon story mode should be for free. But we know that ZOS won’t do such a thing without monetising it in some way or the other.

I tried to create a poll specifically about pure story mode, you know, one to purely let people experience the story, nothing fancy(unlike this one which is asking for dungeon quests expansion or something). Here it was.

This one voted but as the thread was closed, it felt a bit pointless.

It would be good if forum moderation can be a bit more intuitive - same topic yes, but different approaches. But one got locked.

As mentioned before, creating a simple story mode will draw in more players and who knows, it might lead them to group activities.

This one did solo PVE for the first year or so before venturing into group finders and other MMO activities. Sometimes you need to put people in a familiar, safe territory before they feel comfortable in going further. Don’t understand all this hair/fur tearing debates. It’s like people don’t want to be tolerant and not wanting the ESO community to grow.

    No achievements.

Unlock story mode after you've completed the dungeon quest in a group, so you can repeat it to your heart's content, but no achievements associated with it at all.

Only selfish people say don't want other people to have what they truly what for their own content or entertainment, these are people that enjoy the theater of the arts and everyone has the voice to enjoy their own entertainment true.....................?

Yes and no. There's disagreement on exact implementation and details, but broad agreement on the basic idea. That basic idea is that many players want to be able to experience dungeon stories successfully, at their own pace. This idea became especially popular after the announcement of yearlong story arcs where they started putting more story content into the DLC dungeons. This alienated a significant group of players who don't do dungeons, or who can't reliably assemble groups to go through these dungeons to experience the story.
