BOTS, BOTS, AND THEN FOR A CHANGE OF PACE...MORE BOTS.

Yeah, I know. Another Bot thread. I know they are a part of every launch. GW2 was littered with Bots at launch for example. But this is getting way out of hand, and I fear it is going to get worse before it gets better.
Right now they are almost exclusively farming public dungeon bosses and ninja porting to gathering nodes. Very soon there will be loot timers on the bosses. While that tactic will work on dungeon bosses, I fear it is going to make matters worse because the gold farmers are just going to move them outside. They are going to muti-box up to 10 characters and you will see them running around in packs. They will have a programed route that will take them from spawn point to spawn point.
Where are you on this issue ZOS? Many of us (myself included) are trying to be patient with this issue, We understand that it takes time to figure out how to stop this infestation. But people are beginning to lose patience. I fear you are going to start losing subs if you haven't already. I'm not going anywhere, but there are many people with less patience than me.
Nothing. And I mean NOTHING ruins a gaming experience more than Bots. it makes the game feel cheap and dirty.
PLEASE do something about this. Put some feet on the ground. Get some GMs in the game to do nothing but look for and insta-ban Bot accounts. Call the talking heads over at GW2 and ask them how they got rid of them. Do whatever it takes, but please talk to us. Tell us what if any progress you are making with them.
Convince us to be patient because you are working on it and will have a fix in the near future.
Tell us the wolf is on the way.

They're already doing that. They roam around the outdoor areas now, or park themselves right in the middle of an enemy spawning area and burn down everything that spawns.

I have not received any word from Zeni on this... neither have I been banned, or got an ingame statue of myself over a mountain of broken dwarven contruct yet, so I don't know what their view on this "guide" is

Outside Shattered Grove (Auridon) around the tower where there are a lot of wolves and bears, they all had the exact same name, four letters, except the last letter was different. They were definitely bots, they didn't move like a real player, they were just randomly zigzagging around, backwards and forwards, wearing beginner rags.
Also when they get mobbed and are going to die they make no attempt to run away, they just stand there and die.
I reported them but I will bet they are still there tomorrow.0 -

So, what about a system where a bot gets killable after enough people reported the bot? Would be also nice if the killed bot looses some inventory stuff.
I know it's dangerous for abuse reasons, but it would hopefully annoy those botters.

I've seen this become quite common now. It's ruining the experience of the game for me, and there's no escape from this issue now. Zenimax better get on this problem asap. Bugs, exploits, and bots are destroying an otherwise fantastic game.

Again I post this... two weeks and six days... that's exactly how old the game is if you don't count pre-launch... If people are starting to loose patience, then they need to practice it more often. I wouldn't worry too much about the ban-hammer coming down on people for their forum posts, unless they go over the line by actually being abusive. Bethesda (and therefore Zenimax) have always had a tendency to be much more user-friendly than that. They're also traditionally quite responsive to customer concerns. They're working on the problem, and to-date problems have been being fixed much more quickly with ESO than they usually are with other MMOs. As another person pointed out, the game is less than 3 weeks past launch. I'm not worried.
I'm p'd-off at the bots... but I'm not *worried*. I'm actually expecting a rather amusing bot-pocalypse pretty soon where they all disappear in one satisfying blip. Of course, they'll possibly figure some other way to come back, but then the war continues.0 -

Are you the forum police? Hall monitor in high school perhaps? Do you get a kick from policing threads? This topic is going to get posted. And reposted. And posted again. And again. And again. And again. Until the bots are gone. I don't care one rat's arse if this thread annoys you. Because the endless stream of bots infesting this game is annoying the rest of us. So please go police patrol some other forum and let us scream at the top of our lungs how freaking sick and tired we are of these bots. I wish there were ten threads that popped up every second about this issue. Until it is resolved.

AGREED! I reported SO many bots last night in the Crypt. Fort dungeon. It took forever to get a hit on anything. Every dungeon is like this. It takes forever to target/report these guys but I do it.
I feel as the OP says, "game feel cheap and dirty". Hate playing a game with these Chinese Gold Farmers (hate to bring nationality into it, but oh well) running rampant.
It IS a game breaker for me, many don't feel this way, but I do. The situation has made me change my subscription to month to month instead of the 3 month plan.
Hopefully things will change soon.
