In eso the lightest skin is a fairly tan Mediterranean look which to be fair is accurate for an average imperial but considering you can be as black as a red guard I'm not sure it makes sense to have no fair skinned imperials especially considering the nibenese / colovion distinctions.

More options wouldn't hurt but I definitely wouldn't describe the lightest imperial skintone as tan even if it could go reasonably lighter

Also, they are imperials, not bretons. Why would they look like them?

I'm pretty sure that's a breton woman in Imperial clothing.
Edit: Actually I'm wrong. She is Imperial. I just went and had a look at her in game.

However, it is a bit of an unfair example as male characters have a little more texture to the skin than female characters so they will always look a little darker. The Imperials can be very pale, bretons I always find look sickly pale.
But I'm always good with more choice. I'd personally love to have all the hair colour choices for all races unlocked.
Roll an Khajiit, all the colors outside green and blue, stripes and spots in variations.
This one has problems differentiating humans and elves. Just some skin tones, mane and beard variations. Guess its why face paint, tattoos and piercings are so common.

Roll an Argonian and you get green and blue too (I think).
To differentiate mer and men:
1. If they are drunk, it's a Nord
2. If they try to eat you, it's a Bosmer
3. If they look like a programmer after three days without sleep and your cousin is their slave, it's a Dunmer
4. If their level of snootiness is even higher than thems-elves and ears are pointy, it's an Altmer
5. If ears aren't pointy, it's an Imperial
6. If they'd rather let a zombie eat them than fight back, it's a Redguard
7. If they look like a child of a Nord and an Argonian Behemoth, it's an Orc
7a. If you met them near a forge, it's definitely an Orc
8. Otherwise, if they have no noteworthy qualities, it's a Breton
(Jk, obviously, just in case)
The facial model is different (and the "blood" in the lore), im only about the skintone. As i said Imperials are divided in Colovians and Nibenays. The Colovians are mostly Cyro-Nords which have a light skintone.
They should update the Char Creation. The Editor didn't get any updates since RLS. So maybe altmer getting black hair in the future.

They do offer light skintones, just not pale or red-white like people with red hair usually have. Which matches, as imperials represent mediterranean ethnicities, (spanish/italian) not northern ones (british or german).
This one thanks you for the useful guide.Roll an Khajiit, all the colors outside green and blue, stripes and spots in variations.
