What do you hope to see in 2021 in eso?

I hope for vastly improved game performance so that I can get back to doing trials more regularly. The last few that I've run have been so wrought with issues - disconnects, rubber banding, glitches (I love the glitch where the tank has s/b equipped, but suddenly can't use the pokey pokey taunt because he/she doesn't have a s/b equipped) that its just not worth it on most nights to even try.

I don't want to see anything else until they fix all the bugs first. Too many bugs to count in this game. Stop experimenting on us with testing and fix stuff. Not one more house, not one more mount. Stop the bugs in trials, pvp, quests, etc.

This! I only have a few hours playtime after work. Often when I start the game it's getting night in tamriel. I would love to see the blue heaven :-D

From my understanding a Tamriel day is about 5 hrs and 45 minutes long. This means the dawn/dusk time shifts about one real hour every day. But the schedule is reset every time they do maintenance. That may explain why you see more dusk than daylight. Starting at dawn or thereafter would come later in the week for you. The weekend and Monday. So if your schedule is different on the weekend that might be why it seems like you mostly only play at night.

4) Increased housing limit for Special Collectibles (mounts, non-combat pets, assistants, houseguests) as the incredibly low current limit means I have very little incentive to continue to purchase houseguests and diminishing incentive to purchase the others as I collect more I enjoy having placed.

1) Classes getting some of there uniqueness back
2) Light and medium armor being brought up to par with heavy
3) Slight racial rework again (Still salty about woodelf)
4) Vampire re-rework
5) Continued support for older zones (Antiquities was a good first step)
6) For them to stop screwing with cryo gameplay and to spread out players by placing more importance on keeps.
7) Fencing cap to be raised
8) More console UI support (Better parse info, voice chat player volume control and mute, mute npcs taking in zone, skyshard and lorebook markers on map, aoe uptime counters)
9) Better ingame learning tools (Kinda goes along with better parse readouts but actual feedback about how to improve dps, uptimes, weaving)
10) Antiquarian circle dailies (Would give players a reason to keep interacting with it and help lvl alts)
11) More indepth stealing (More items that can only be pickpocketed from certain types of npc in certain zone, higher chances for crafting npcs drop blueprints, Blueprints and racial motifs have a higher chance of being stolen from certain zone)
12) Hide selected motifs in outfit station option and equip all option (So if i Select equip all on highelf light head it equips all highelf light)

I'd like to see:

Pvpers get a working cyrodil with more content and some added battleground modes

Pvers get a refresh of some of the older zones to get more of them back into those areas. Along with better loot reasons to go back and do the dragons/harrowstorms.

Rpers get their own server and some more emotes/actions

Housing community to get more affordable housing with higher limits. And a heap of windows that you can place and see through to add light and homeyness.

And for everyone to have better class identity, a minimap, buff/debuff icon timers, and better performance overall

Top Three:

1) A change in focus for the game following the acquisition by Microsoft. More specifically, a less heavy-handed fixation on monetization of game systems that excuse bad game design elements in order to allow for solution selling, unregulated gambling, and excessive/overpriced microtransactions in general. It is a black stain on what is otherwise a fantastic game made by a team of talented people who clearly love the Elder Scrolls IP. It's time for that black stain to get a scrub down.

2) Continued quality content releases that have broad appeal to the many different types of players who enjoy this game. While I'm fairly confident this will happen given it has happened across the lifetime of the game, this year there were a few unexpected stumbles in this department (for understandable reasons, granted). It might also be time to do something a little different from the standard formula. When releases get too formulaic, that's bad.

3) A well-polished, next generation version of ESO for new consoles. By the time this is out, odds are I might actually be able to get the new console, and it will be interesting to see what improvements stronger hardware can bring to the table. Coupled with this, I would like to see restoration of features that were removed for performance reasons. Sets that only work when in groups, for example, is just garbage and makes me sad.

Bonus (and totally unrealistic) Hope:

4) Add more RPG into this RPG. When was the last time we had a quest line with actual choices in it? The choices in other quests weren't always that impactful, but at least they were there. I want to see branching quests, more dialogue options, more random encounters.

MS taking control scares the hell out of me. Have you had much experience with MS? They act like everything they own is worth its weight in gold. They use to sell 2 generation old operating systems for full price still. I needed to unzip a rar file the other day and thought i would use the normally free winzip. Nope. Free trial and like $50 a year? Yeah im not paying $50 a year to unzip a half dozen files at the rate of 1 every couple of months.

Everything MS touches they turn into a wallet hoover.

1) Signs that the game is still being invested in — perhaps a server upgrade. Much great work continues to be invested in content, which of course is much appreciated, but with performance continuing to be a problem, it is worrying that a greater investment isn’t made by ZOS to fix this.

2) Revert changes that no one asked for and almost no one is happy with:
- Racial Passives: Scrap the Hawk Eye passive and restore Bosmer reduction in stealth detection radius. Move poison resistance from Bosmer to Argonians (who should be immune to BOTH poison and disease). There are probably others, but these are the problems I know about.
- Restore 24 group size in Cyrodill.
- Enable healing to effect ALL allies as it should and give players another option to keep healing within group as with a gameplay option or a new mythic item.
- Please don’t try to manipulate player behavior but instead retain and expand our options to play the way we want.

Rework of the CP system. It's ridiculous that a wizard in light armor with high CP has more mitigation than a low CP tank in heavy armor at resistance cap. Also the CP system has reached its limit in terms of character progression. It's time to put a system in place with "long legs" that will feel rewarding even for those putting years of their (future)life into the game.

Oh, and please add a difficulty setting for solo/overland content. It's not fun questing on high level characters when everything insta-dies and you don't even notice the difference between trash and bosses..

I find the game to be perfectly playable. PVP is really ridiculous at the moment but i don't consider this a pvp game nor do i normally get my pvp fix here, so that is not an issue to me. I just know from experience when it comes to MS you always end up getting less for more as their figure out how to drain you like a vampire.

and as a developer i know that if something ms do good is in creating exceptional development teams. And no, the game is not playable. It crashes in my 3 computers. Intel and AMD, Nvidia and AMD. PvP is a joke (where the customer is a victim) and since I only play PvP, for me, this game is scam. Btw, what has ms to be with winzip or rarlab? i dont understand you. 50$ a year is much for a good game and its maintenance? WoW man, let developers eat some meat with their rice

Oh it is a joke. They sort of tossed something together in terms of PVP didnt flesh any of it out and threw in the game so they could claim to have PVP. I would never play ESO for the PVP. I should have been clear. I use Winzip as the generic for zip programs and it was on the MS store so yes MS gets a cut which will no doubt hike up the price a bit.

Why would i pay for something i can legally get for free? Also there is not any value in being subscribed to winzip for me so why would i pay for a subscription. I need to open compressed files very rarely. It is nothing like a game which would provide me hundreds of hours worth of entertainment. If developers want some meat with their rice, they should develop things that:
1) Other developers aren't doing for free
2) Are priced correctly for their use.
3) Are new and innovative.

Winzip meets none of those.
