Debating about getting back into this game...

Is it worth it? Any new major things since khajiit-ville DLC? I don't really care about 'old' issues unless they got way worse. I am concerned of this talk of 'inflation' though. I could rarely afford anything back when I used to play a few years back, and now stuff is twice as much? Or are people just whiners?

(What about werewolves? any love for them?)
Hoping for more playable races

If you could rarely afford anything two years ago that will not change as people tend to be either spenders or moneymakers. Threads complaining about prices going up are probably speaking to specific items, crafting matts, they are trying to buy. Items tend to increase in price when they are in demand such as materials for crafting event writs for the current event.

Beyond that it depends much on what you like to do and if you have a group of people you enjoy running with.

Nah I am a solo PVE player, though I was working towards soloing normal dungeons so I could enjoy the story at my own pace.

Solo PvE is fine, but a lot beyond quest boss is broken.

Well, there is always content for solo PvE players. There are new stories, new collectibles, and new Mythic items to work towards with the new Antiquities system. Some of these should be quite fun for you, if you like to experiment solo dungeons/arenas. There is also a new solo Arena added with Markarth.

However, there are the usual performance issues, login problems, lag spikes, and bugs. Not just 'beyond quest bosses' as the poster above me said, even quest bosses can be broken  I was finishing up the Markarth epilogue, and had to force quit the game and relog, because I was stuck in combat but the boss had disappeared. The encounter just wouldn't continue lol. One second big bad vampire is flying around, the next he is nowhere to be found while I and the NPCs just stand around waiting for him at a trap. Lmao.

The question isn't 'is it worth coming back'? The question is 'is it worth coming back NOW?' If you have time to play right now, and don't mind buying the Graymoor Chapter which is a separate purchase at the moment (so you can access Antiquities and part of the story), you can come back now. But there won't be any additions apart from 2 dungeons until next Summer, so you could just come back when the Oblivion-Chapter is released in the summer (that way you'd get the Graymoor Chapter as a DLC with ESO+).

Its the same exact PVE experience it was two years ago, with the exception of Antiquity system.. You can dig up furniture items and pieces of mythic gear that are quite good. They made the vMA weapon available from the easy version.

I enjoyed Greymoor, BUT BUT BUT, looking back I realize it was because I dug up all the antiquities. Without the antiquity system, there isn't much content there. Maybe 15-20 hours of quests? Antiquities made it feel like the expansion was bigger, kept me busy for a whole week or two til I got bored.

Its the same damm game in every expansion. There is no vertical progression, they add some new sets, but I'm not seeing the new sets in the meta. Maybe your class was buffed or nerfed.

If you want more new quests to run through then buy it. I like Summerset better than Greymoor.

~There’s a positive in every negative. Sometimes the positive is harder to find than other times, but there is ALWAYS one there~

As far as the inflation, if things cost more to buy, they also make you more money selling those things, so it evens out, so no real problem unless you're a player who only wants to PVP and never do anything else that might make money
