Hey,
can u state a estimated date, when this will happen?
Playing 4k/60fps Demon Souls and Thema coming back to 1080p/30fps ESO is really hard.
All I want is full hd/60fps, I dont even need better graphics, just unlock this fps rate...
Thats really sad honestly, they could at least make it 60fps asap...

They announced along time ago before the release of the new consoles that ESO would remain at 30fps lol just like when they tried to release the game on xbox under eso enhanced mode at 4k it just did not work and I told alot of guild members that as well before they ended up buying the new consoles just for 60fps for ESO that it was not gonna happen
Still nothing on it?
I think the fact that they have to cater to the day one Xboxs that some people still use is the main limiting factor here

That's the point of the thread. Next-gen consoles are currently running a version of the game with many of the graphical settings dialed down to the equivalent of "medium" on PC and fps are locked at 30 so it will run on base PS4 and Xbox.
Sometime in the next year PS5 and Series X will get dedicated versions of the client program that should allow them both to run everything at the highest settings at 60FPS, so those of us on next gen are pretty eager to know exactly when.

Remember, currently the PS5 and the Xbox SX run the enhanced PS4 Pro and Xbox 1X versions respectively. So at least they are running better versions of ESO then base last gen consoles.

The Pro and 1X versions have the same graphical settings as the base consoles (which are the equivalent of medium settings on PC) just rendered in 4K instead of 1080P.
As you can see in the pictures the PC version has a lot more detail in the textures, the draw distance is much greater and the more sophisticated (and resource demanding) method of Ambient Occlusion available renders light and shadows much more realistically. From my experience it's the higher AO setting that really makes everything pop and look "next gen" compared to the console versions.

For Xbox One X, in addition to 4K, you get:
-Upgraded shadows with Screen Space Ambient Occlusion
-Upgraded water reflections
-Increased view distance

So the game does look a lot better on a 1X over base Xbox One, and hence equally better on Xbox Series X. Not certain about PlayStation though.

Yes on Playstation also, the PS4 Pro has an optimized version of ESO which looks a ton better the base PS4
