    It takes 4 seconds after it's cast to detonate, the actual cast time is 1 second.

    Nooo, It takes me 4 seconds to cast ( I've counted several times now ) I throw my arm back and it stays like that until I manage to cast, if the enemy doesn't run behind a wall or I have to do it all over again

    I was expecting it to work like Curse

    Pretty sure it depends on the lag/desync. I used "Channeled Acceleration" for some month and the cast time was between 1 and 4 seconds. (Depending on how many ball groups were around :) )
    And thats a skill where I dont need a target...

    Calling the horse has sometimes the same effect.
