Unable to get into game since the update

As it says on the tin, I have been unable to play the game since the most recent patch. I have repaired. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have run the launcher as administrator. I have the relevant exe files whitelisted. But when I press PLAY, I only get the endlessly revolving blue dot, it just hangs. Please can a kind person give some advice, I really don't want to have to cancel my subscription after all these years!
