Another XP event in 2 days.
I think that there are fewer people logging in and selling mats because people are upset about the state of the game though. Prices are higher because there are fewer sellers.
I know I'm raid logging and that's it right now. I've only been filling my trade guild slots once every other week. I should probably farm and sell more mats tbh.

Um, that’s not how inflation works. Everyone’s savings is losing buying power, and you’re basically telling him to go print more money so he can afford the new higher prices.
It's not inflation. It's supply and demand.
Tell me how and why is the demand of frost mirriam going up so much?
And how and why is the supply of frost mirriam all the sudden gone?
I don't see it

Simple. Aside of doing writs the only other supply of juice and Mirriam are hirelings mails every 12 hours.
Active playtime is required for that. Not just log in log out, but active twice a day log in log out and doing writs.
And what I can see to be a common theme across the board is that a lot of players dropped they game this year.
I’m not saying, by any means, that the game is dying or doesn’t have enough players, but when you see double digit percentage drop in active daily players, market will feel it.
I don't think it has to do with inflation to be honest.
Inflation happens when the government prints money but the services provided do not increase with the extra money that was put into the economy.
This basically means that people have more money, but there isn't enough supply to keep up with the demand because the increase in money was not due to the natural progress of society, and technology leading to more efficient methods of production that reduce costs and increase production making things less expensive. Therefore the prices must go up to avoid shortages, or even mass shortages. That is inflation.
I think this is just a case of either more people buying more stuff increasing the price of materials, or there are just less people farming stuff, id say the more likely option is that there are more people buying stuff, but it could also be a bit of both, less people farming the game, but more people buying stuff, or, the drops are lower than before.
The only way i can see inflation happening in a game is if zos suddenly decides to increase gold drops by like a thousand, which is basically what inflation is.
Unless, you meant it as, the price inflated meaning it increased, but didn't allude to inflation as a process.
Crown for gold only impact is moving gold around.Crowns for gold was always going to destroy the in game economy. Oh this set I thought was awesome that I crafted and made legendary doesn't work, oh well I'll just grab mum's ccard again.....

It's our problem, not someone else's to solve < own it.
Go farm what you need instead of paying 10k PER legendary clothing bit.
By ingredients and make pots before raids instead of paying 50-75% more.
Tell new players to check MM before buying.
Don't give hundreds of thousands to new players to 'help them'.
Set up alt toons with daily delivery of food items.
Like the real world -don't buy it -sellers have to move their prices to suit customers.

This has been going on since before the sticker book and greymoor.

We had an event that was giving bonus XP. That event gave players incentive to level characters they have been ignoring. Frost Mirriam and Bervez Juice are used to make Psijic Ambrosia that boosts XP so players get even more bang for their buck during the event. I would expect prices to go up right before and during any event that has an XP boost. After the event prices should taper back down.
It has been weeks after the last double xp event, price of these items have no dropped 1 bit, what you have to say now?

Nobody is actually buying them for these prices.

no frost miriam and berverz juice price been slowing going up for 2 months now
Agree, crafting bag make its easy to just pile up resources.eovogtb16_ESO wrote: »There is no shortage of crafting mats. That's just a function of the craft bag, and one of it's limitations. Since items take up no inventory space, there is no incentive to sell items. It creates artificial scarcity.
It's a function of a feature of the game.
But, let's attach a nefarious reason behind it, because the boogeyman argument is stronger emotionally

@ForzaRammer the prices are doing exactly as I said they would. They spike on the front end then slope back down on the back end. I am seeing the prices drop. Remember I said items can sit there for thirty days? We are at that thirty day mark where the higher priced Mirriam and Bervez will be returned. I'm seeing prices lower than what I saw ten days ago. It almost always takes longer for items to go down than it does to go up.

NettleCarrier wrote: »Alright so... I've played this game just shy of 2 years. A few months ago I decided to join a few extra trade guilds (only had one previously) and start really trying to figure out how to make money. To my surprise, this was easy! Now, I've had 18 fully leveled characters and was already in the habit of doing my writs every day even though it takes about 90 minutes total - but I earn far more money this way than anything else I could do in 90 minutes worth of time. Secondly, I started really tracking the value of gold materials and devote about an hour each night in the wee hours of the morning shopping around for deals. To my surprise, a good portion of this population doesn't know how to price things very well and so I almost always find tons of mats to scoop up. Dealing exclusively with gold materials bought (and farmed via writs) I started selling a few million per week with about a 25% profit margin from flipping. Two months later and I'm buying up all sorts of quick-moving items that I can sell in the cities for more. I'm constantly referring to ATT to see what my guild mates are getting away with selling and pricing to match them and to my surprise, it works!
This all being said, now that I've seen how easy it is I'd be stupid NOT to do this. I'm not intentionally trying to contribute to the inflation but now my guild has a trader we need to maintain and I need to survive and make enough money to help keep it afloat too! If I can figure it out, anyone can...
