So... you've never heard of Capture the Flag or King of the Hill before? We already play every game as a DM, the problem is that we do not get score for it and on some occasions is hard to tell which team leads.
Are you aware that you can also get kills while defending objectives? Crazy, right?

That's quite balanced to the overall game population, isn't it?

Domination is boring as hell cause you win when you dont PvP and just run from flag to flag.
Why even put a leaderboard for game modes when you cant choose them? What is that type of competition that is tied to rng?
Give Deathmatch its own queue for solo and group. 100% sure it will be the most active one.

Most domination and usually relic games are won by the team that participates the least in actual player versus player.
Its dumb.
Having a whole team with overwhelmingly negative kda win the match just beacuse they run to the flag from spawn without trying to even fight is not pvp.
If you queue for pvp, be ready to pvp. Period.
I would be okay with objective modes if things like domination or relic werent so horribly bad.
I haven't played a deathmatch in weeksWhy is Chaosball and capture the relic so common?
Battlegounds are the plague of PvP MMOs. They just shouldn't exist.
They should just do like in WoW, a PvP toggle that phases all PvP players together, and let them fight in all Tamriel. Also put in the justice system through players.
Why can't people just play the game mode, they are in? If it's capture the flag, then go and capture flags. If it's relic hunt, then go and get relics or defend yours. Instead they behave like a stubborn child and persist on playing Deathmatch, even when it means your team looses the match.
Also I don't see the reason for a drama. Every mode still has a huge portion of killing enemies in it. Like killing those, that try to steal your relic or capture the same flag. So there is enough opportunity to satisfy your bloodthirst. At least game modes are now much more diversified then before. However, a separate queue for Deathmatch only addicts could be something to think about.
Something that can't be said often enough:^^
If you are in Deathmatch don't run around alone like a bunch of headless chickens, spread all over the map going alone against groups of 4.

There are still players who prefer traditional game modes (capture the flag being the most traditional) which, unlike in DM, involve thoughtful planning and strategy development.
You lost me there Chief.
What thought goes into standing on a flag holding block? Or hiding in stealth at spawn to kill anyone who tries to pick up your relic. Sure, thats a valid strategy. But it requires less thought and skill than actually fighting other people and trying to win those fights.

the thought is more on the strategic level, lets compare the typical through process of DM, CTR and CK
DMCTR
- Where's the enemy?
- Where's the team?
- Is this fight going favorably?
CK
- Is any of my team staying to defend?
- should I go with them to help capture or stay to defend myself?
- the entire green team is coming, do I take them all on to buy time and hope others arrive to help or do I run to their base to prevent them from being able to capture?
- orange team is capturing the green relic while they go after ours, team has green busy should I help or try to ninja cap?
- Where's the flag?
- how long has the flag been up?
- Given that everybody is most likely rushing the flag, should I hang back to pick people off or dive into combat?
- new flag just spawned, should I go after it or keep pressing after this one?
- People from both teams are approaching the flag I'm at, should I back off and try to pick off the winner or try to stand my ground and hope my team can arrive to help in time to not loose the flag?
and just fight alone or not, kill or die doesnt matter if alone or with group, 1v1 or 1v4 etc, just where is enemy and try to kill or get killed[*] Where's the enemy?

Just....why.....
But yes, please give us back options. I love Chaos Ball. I miss queueing for it.

As it is right now, players are being rewarded for being unkillable. At least with a 50% shot at a deathmatch they'll have to build some damage into their builds or else they'll just be unsuccessful half the BGs they play. Right now I maybe get 1 out of 10 BGs a deathmatch. Some days go by and I don't see any at all.

Players chose to have a split solo/group queue over game mode option.
The ship has now sailed.
