How can we take this game seriously if ZOS can't get serious about the performance?

I try not to complain, there's enough negativity about performance on the forums as it is, but last night I ended up logging out, to many freezes, kicks and load times were astronomically long. I was just trying to do the dailies, players were having problems porting in once the dungeon started, players were going off line left and right, we would wait to see if they would return, some did, most didn't and we had to find new players. After all this I get the the last daily for me and at the final boss in Crypts of Hearts II and I lock up, had to log completely out of the game and return, by then the battle was over and within mere seconds, was able to pickup my drops. After that, I turned off ESO and played Division II.

Keep your tickets ZOS and fix this mess you've created, I truly enjoy ESO but not when it performs like it did last night.

    Hi everyone,

We’d like to give you an update on our plans for the next incremental patch. We recognize the most recently published patch for PC and consoles did not fix all the active game crashes you’ve been experiencing since Update 28 was released, and we’ve been hard at work identifying these crashes and working on getting them fixed.

In an effort to get this patch out to everyone as quickly as possible, we are currently targeting December 7 for the next PC patch and December 9 for consoles. This patch will include fixes for some of the more prevalent game crashes - including those currently being experienced in dungeons and Trials - some console-specific crash fixes, refunds for missing skill points for PC players, and a few additional fixes. Note that we do still plan to start the Undaunted Event this Thursday, December 3.

All patches are currently in certification; in the event plans change, we’ll let you know as soon as we can. We appreciate your continued patience.

Take it for what it's worth.

Also, you should be trying to NOT take the game too seriously imo.

I see you play on PS4. ZOS has not taken console concerns seriously for at least two years now, so your best bet is to unsubscribe and uninstall. Not worth the time, effort, or money.

Well they used most of this year trying to improve performance, including an two month live test in Cyrodil.
Result was an dramatical reduction in stability, chance of crash is more than 10 times higher than before, more than 100 times more on some bosses.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

My group took turns crashing in that same dungeon. I crashed 4 times, 2 of those were during the final boss.

    This right here.
I have learned I can't play this game on any high level.

It's way too unstable, laggy, crashy, desynch, buggy etc.

    It's just a frustrating experience.

I'm taking a backseat until the next 'fix' I'm going to be doing the bare minimum every day until then.
If the game is still borked next week my ESO+ will be cancelled and I'll spend the new year playing Cyberpunk until things get fixed.

Just came back from a 2 year hiatus actually hyped up about doing the events and getting back into a routine but by his puts such a damper on playing. I’ve spent countless hours and money in this game and I wouldn’t take it back id just like to continue enjoying my experience within the game without obtaining NEW bugs that wasn’t here when I left.

I get it, its why I'm back to dabbling with Division II and FO76...I might even check out my old Destiny 2 account, I do wish Cyberpunk was an MMO

I've been a daily for the last 4 years but since this last patch, its frustrating to the end. Its sad because I enjoy the story/lore, I belong to several great guilds and I enjoy the game over all but whats the point if you can't play the content.

If I were you I would be very careful about how you word a post regarding something that might threaten the subjective sense of self ZOS professionals view themselves with. You will discover as many of us have in the last few months they will delete or 3 day ban you for 'bashing' if you dont claim ZOS performs at above industry standard----even with readily apparent contrary evidence in PvP and PvE .....This makes giving feedback tricky- somehow point to obvious failures and try to word them to be seen by the hyper-sensitive employees there as 'simply a small step below perfect' rather than the obvious failures they are.

They just announced on Twitter a bunch of dungeons that crash and advised players to skip them.

Crypt of Hearts, Wayrest Sewers II, Vaults of Madness, and Tempest Island are also causing some players to crash and we recommend skipping these as well until the incremental patch next week.

We are aware that Fang Lair and Scalecaller Peak are causing some players to crash. If you are running pledges during Undaunted we recommend skipping these dungeons.

In the same sense it can be argued that what ZOS takes seriously is not for people who post on a forum to determine. Just because someone does not fix something in an acceptable time frame does not directly translate to how seriously they take the problem. I'm no fan of the performance issues, but neither am I a fan of opinions in the absence of knowledge being considered as fact. Having an opinion is fine, but unless we are employed by ZOS and are part of the decision making process, none of us "seriously" know what we're talking about.

Oh there’s definitely an absence of knowledge, and I’m now convinced it’s not on the side of the playerbase.

Nah, playing this game since launch and seeing the downward spiral and lack of common sense in addressing long standing issues, especially when those issues are often just the same issues repeated year to year, we can objectively and with great certainty say that there is absolutely zero concern from ZOS as far as WE, the playerbase, are concerned.

Money and the bottom line are all that matter.
We don't. Bare minimum effort to maximize profit margin is king with this game.

It's getting ridiculous at this stage.

Who's bright idea was it to bring out a free to play event when the game isn't functioning properly, which as we all know, will put the servers under even more pressure.

It's the last 6years plus of performance issues, poor communication, & rushed game breaking content releases that translates how serious ZOS takes these problems.

Say it louder for the ones in the back.

I just downloaded a surprise patch on xbox...now the game doesn't even launch. T.T

Edit: technically it does but it says a patch is needed to play the game...the patch I just downloaded...there are no more patched available right now. This is happening to every xbox player I know.
