Syvarra's Scales and Bahraha's Curse off weights

Whose idea was it to lock them behind a daily quest? There is NO way to get them outside of doing heists as they do not drop from chests. It makes stickerbook collecting very irritating, as heavy Syvarra pieces are going for upwards of 1m each. There needs to be a better way of getting them since they're both overland sets.

In the grand scheme of things I cant really see a major issue here. If you want those sets in heavy, and heists are the only way to obtain them, then go do heists. We all have the experience of farming various content for the sets we want, if you want it that much, do the heists. There are a ton of sets and items that are locked behind content, this is nothing new.

Or forget about it. Its just 2 sets, and only 1 of the weight types. Move along, go get other sets if youre that into filling up your sticker book.

When simple overland armor pieces are going for 1-2.5m, you know something is wrong.

I say the gold rush is over here had some pieces out for around 17-18K gold for a day and they don't sell.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

All those pieces outside of light drop off chests/wb/dungeons

They absolutely do not. I have farmed chests and WBs in Hew's Bane for hours each day since the patch dropped and I can say with extreme certainty that Heavy/Light Syvarra's Scales and Heavy/Medium Bahraha's Curse do not drop from them.

2500+ chests and I ONLY received Medium Syvarra and Light Bahraha. 200+ WB kills and the same thing.

The only way to get the off weights for these sets are perfect heists.

They absolutely do drop in wb and chests i have gotten my both my tanks baha sets farming chests, delves , wb you my good sir/ma'am have been teabagged by rngesus

Have you done it since Markarth came out? Or did you farm them during Thieves Guild?

Heavy Syvarra's and Bahraha's DO NOT drop from bosses, Psijic portals, and overland chests. Only light and medium does.

I wouldn't mind if only heists dropped heavy if the heist reward pool wasn't also diluted with other weights and weapons. But as it is, you can do many perfect heists and not receive a single piece of heavy armor.

Personally, I think it's a bug, as there's no logical reason for a specific armor weight to be locked behind a certain quest. @ZOS_GinaBruno , can you confirm that this is working as intended, or is it actually a years long bug?

    It looks intentional by design.

E.g. the storyline Thieves Guild quests provide an RNG Bahraha's Curse piece, and it can be any weight.

I actually did the Thieves Guild quests to unlock the Heists. Took about 2 hours, and I was taking my time. Part of the process was collecting 3 sets for stealth: 5-pc crafted Night Silence, 4-pc overland Darloc Brae, 4-pc overland Night Terror.

I'm not really into PVE questing in most games, but I can honestly say the TG storyline is entertaining.

So far I've done heists the past 5 days. No off-weight Syvarra's nor Bahraha's yet. I specifically want Syvarra's in heavy armor.

There are 36 drop types (7 heavy, 7 medium, 7 light, 2 jewelry, 13 weapons/shield) across 2 sets, so 72 pieces today. So the probably of getting a drop I want is 7 out of 72, or ~10%. It will take some time.

Can't you buy these pieces from guild traders? They don't really have any value for wearing or using in PVE or PVP

I could, but I’m not paying 950k for an overland set piece (that’s the price of the ONLY heavy Syvarra belt listed on TTC for PCNA).

It's 100k-200k yesterday and today on NA.

Prices have been dropping from 300k+.

This is one of those sets that I have avoided using in PvP yet, of course, see absolutely everywhere.

When people actually use this set, how are they formatting it: 2 Heavy 3 Medium or a more exotic combination like 2 Heavy 1 jewlery a weapon?

Use of another proc set, Malacath's, and 1-piece Trainee is already assumed.

Also, you don't get them in the PTS coffers from template characters, so you can't test stuff there if you don't already have them unlocked.

It being hard to get is actually amazing. It limits the amount of players flocking to every new OP meta proc set they hear about. I, for one, would rather not having every meta sheep in the game running this set.

For whatever reason, I tend to see more people using the following:
    • Venomous Smite
    • Sheer Venom
    • Unleashed Terror
VS is overland and easy to farm or buy.

Just buy them lol. God rolls on highly sought after items aren't supposed to be common. If you spent two hours farming resources off the ground instead of hours on praying for a god roll on a specific item you could just buy it lol. Your odds of getting a specific trait on a specific item from an overland set is less than 1/500. You can make 50-100k an hour running around picking up guaranteed money off the ground in Craglorn. Work smarter not harder

Yeah, I am heading to the traders now to buy Medusa Inferno and Lightning Staff of Alkosh...

And I am not talking about specific traits, I dont care about them. I am talking out about simple set items that never drop, although other items of the same set drop every time.

Today it's the 6th day in the Undaunted event and I got 5/6 Swarm Mother's Bow. How does that make ANY sense?

This assumes that the items are purchasable. But the issue at hand is that the prices for heavy Syvarra's are through the roof due to rarity driven by their availability being limited behind a certain set of dailies.

I have been doing the TG heist quests, and got lucky on a few heavy SS drops. They have been selling for between 300-800K per piece. Actual sales. So if you are going to buy a chest piece, you're looking at farming Craglorn for 8-16 hours to get the gold to do that. There is still opportunity to make it even more time efficient.

TCE exchange rates are currently about 400:1 for gold to crowns minus a fee (putting it at about 300:1). Let's say you wanted to buy a standard 5 piece set of SS in heavy - clocking in at probably about 2.5M gold if you can find decent prices on PC-NA. Probably more about 4M if you want it immediately. Assuming 75K/hour farming Crag, you're looking at 33 hours or so of just farming to make that gold. Or, you can just sell about 8000 crowns to get the gold to buy those pieces. If you are making the US median income, after taxes, etc, you're looking at working for about 4 hours at your job to make the money required to purchase those crowns. So, the most time efficient way to get that stuff would be to work overtime for a bit, ask for a bonus or raise, get a short term part time gig, or something like that. If you are a yuppie baller making over 100K, it's a no brainer to just buy the crowns to get gold and then buy the sets, because it's about an hour and a half of work for you. Unless, of course, farming Craglorn is an inherently enjoyable activity for you.

Personally, I don't mind doing the heists. It's basically a 10 minute slot machine that's kind of fun, and sometimes I hit the jackpot.
