    This is happening on any LICH style boss that I've done since the update. Something with those bosses making people on different platforms, crash.

    From my experiences regular liches don't make you crash (dolmens, also the one in Crypt of Hears I despite it being named) just ones that have additional mechanics.

    This is definitely still happening post-patch, as others have mentioned. Did Fang Lair for the pledge today (PC/NA), all except our tank crashed twice (and we wiped once because of it), and all at the same time. No errors, just a flat freeze and unresponsive CTD.

    Sorry no offense but this is an absolutely useless suggestion. The problem is the same on pc / mac, xbox and playstation. The issue is not on the player side.

    Agreed, the standard template response is not helpful when directed at one platform area only.
    All we want is to get a response that is helpful, insightful and gives all players a timeframe of when the issue will be rectified.

    This isn't a hard bug to validate. It is happening to everyone. Literally, just load up the game and zone into one of these dungeons and even support/QA would encounter the same thing. Last run I did with my group was in Wayrest II and literally all 4 of us had DC'd during the Garron fight. As soon as he casts the first AOE, everyone DC'd. We tried this about 5 times and each met with the same outcome. No add-on etc...

    My entire group crashhed 4 times in a row on lich boss in fanglair before quit. i could solo the boss while everyone was offline and not crash. but once they came back online and got back in the fight we all crashed again.

    seems to be something about the AOE CC that it uses. if multiple people get hit by that aoe the game will crash. if only 1 person gets hit then its ok.

    I don't think the problem is validating... They probably don't even know what is causing it yet.

    This is one of those mind boggling things about ESO. How some things completely unrelated to the patch notes changes break out of nowhere.

    This bug and the skill reset bug are just crazy types of bugs.

    Still happening, encountered myself.

    1 guy from the group didnt crash tho. I crashed at 87% Caluurions all 4 times. Someone crashed in the later stages.

    Looks like maintenance incoming in 2-days. Hopefully this gets fixed then. I can't even queue up for a normal dungeon today. Not sure if they just turned them off or if group finder is busted again.

    Still not fixed, by the way. Ran vFL as well as nCoH2 today and had the exact same crash on both Nerien'eth and Caluurion. In the case of Fang Lair my groupmates had the same issue, same as before today's patch.

    Just going by the updated statuses posted in that thread it seems they are working on the crashes still, however the unable to get a queue to pop issues should be fixed as of this morning on PC - still rolling the dice once you get in to see if you crash/DC though.

    Yeah, I can also confirm that Caluurion still crashes the game. Game just freezes and becomes unresponsive and Windows suggests either closing the program or waiting for it to respond. This has happened on several different boss health percentages, but apparently the common thing was usually the flying blue flame balls (?) causing the AoE damage area to the ground.

    Edit. PC-EU, veteran Fang Lair. Premade group (cannot remember if we queued or teleported there). Tried to do no death, which wasn't a very successful try for obvious reasons.....

    This is pretty unacceptable. Fang Lair has been unplayable for almost a month now.

    3 man group on normal entered manually had no problems

    3 in group queued for tank on vet entered thru dungeon finder crashed instant at caalurion..always crashed in groups of 2..when the first crashes came back if fight was still on going the other 2 would crash.etc etc

    One group member lost their skill bar during the fight as well and had to do a “reloadui” to get it back.

    Fight with skeleton animals was weird too halfway thru the fight reset itself to the beginning. That was new for me.

    On norm everything was how it should be so we finished dungeon and immediately queued for vet..on vet it was total chaos.

    To weigh in on this Caluurion crashed for my group also. We have been shooting for no death run to complete personality achievements and its been unplayable because of the crashes even after yesterday's fix.

    vMoS is fine and we did not have crashes in there but I've spoken to other players saying it seems to be lich bosses or similar doing it still.

    Ran Fang Lair multiple times yesterday, during each run there were multiple "crashes" at Caluurion and on a couple runs we had "crashes" both before even getting to that point as well as after during the remaining portion of the dungeon run. It may be worth noting that in my case I wasn't actually having the game fully crash to desktop, instead the eso64.exe process was hanging, and had to be closed with the Windows Dialogue which triggered the Microsoft crash reporter. These instances also showed up in Windows Event Viewer as hangs, not crashes/errors.

    Playing on Xbox one. Constant crashes at Fang Lair Lich and wayrest 2 Lich. Seems like a pretty common thing. FIX YOUR GAME!!

    I have small solution for this, just change from fullscreen to windowed and shrink window for like 1cm before this type of bosses. It works for me 100% of the time.

    Damn... If this is true and not trolling, this means it is probably an issue with number of particles being generated.

    I wonder if turning off 'Ally effects' might help with this.

    This is definitely still happening. I am encountering this issue consistently in both Fan lair and Wayrest sewers. In both cases it the crashes occur on the Litch boss.

    I was in a group all using different Xbox hardware and everyone experienced the same issue. I can confirm the issue occurs on Xbox Series X, Xbox 1 X and original Xbox One systems. So it is not just an old hardware issue.

    When the issue occurs the screen freezes but you can still hear the game audio including game chat. Other people in your group can also still hear you in chat.

    However, your controls are unresponsive so it is not just a video issue.

    I have experienced the issue in both first and third person views.

    I also tried to not engage in combat and look directly at the floor during an encounter to minimize visual affects and outgoing signals but the issue still occurred.

    However the issue does not occur at standard intervals, I have been able to get past it on 2 of of 3 dungeons. In both cases were we got past the issue it still caused at least 4 team wipes but eventually 2 out of 4 members were able to stay connected long enough to burn down the boss.

    This is a highly frustrating but especially when it happens on a daily random or undaunted attempt.

    Since this issue difficult to address, and it appear to be getting worse I would highly suggest removing the Wayrest and Fang Lair dungeons from any rotations until this is resolved if possible.

    Just did a random normal dungeon on Fang Lair and crashed on the Lich boss just as it was about to die. Definitely still happening here. Seriously what a joke of a game.

    I did try your fix, but it didn't work for me - at least not as I expected, and certainly not 100%. To be honest, I don't see why WM or FS would make such a difference, since the renderer needs to do the same job in the same conditions ? I would argue.... But I did try it anyway. For the record I set my window to ~80% of the screen size, so there was more than 1 cm on all sides. Also for the record I played tank, so I would assume most of the effects were coming my way.

    First we ran Crypt of Hearts 2, at Mezeluth I got CTD within 5 seconds. I think someone else DC simultaneously, too. On the second try it went OK so we could finish it.

    Then we tried Wayrest Sewers 2. At the beginning of the dungeon I said to the group to do the same thing (setting WM) and at least one person confirmed to have the game set to WM. On the first try for ALL of us the game froze (confirmed by the group members upon return) within seconds. On the second try one of the DPSs went offline again, but only he/she this time, so we could ultimately finish the boss.

    Strangely enough Windows reported 2 different types of incidents, I did open 2 tickets, hopefully some real programmers can take a look.

    The problem is that these steps are meant to address a situation where the game crashes gently enough that you see an error report screen.

    The lich boss crashes are hard. Either total blue screen (less common) or Screen freeze/sound freeze (which can be really hard on the ears) bollixing things up to the point where we can't get to Task Master and only a hard shutdown will get out of it.
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...

    I think that's because support only sees the "ingame" bug reports and none of the crashes allow for that to happen.

    Sorry to hear that :neutral: For me it work all time long but noticed that this bug started to apear for me only after i updated graphic drivers so maybe it was AMD foult.

    I’m on PS4 NA. Entire group crashed in Fang Lair on the same boss as mentioned. Group crashes in Wayrest just as mentioned. Group crashes in Scalecaller, final boss. Group crashes in White Gold tower fighting adds. This is AFTER the latest patch. With undaunted event coming up, I don’t see many participating until this is fixed.
