I have never had queues in this game that were as fast as WOW. In WOW I usually wait 8-12 min as a DPS. In ESO I hit the 35 minute mark a LOT.
I usually leave queue and requeue at 45 minutes.

Well, I've been doing afk stuff so I didn't really notice how long it's been at first. Then I thought, well it's been so long it *has* to pop any second now lol
Welp
In WoW if I was queuing alone as a dps I usually ended up waiting 30minutes to an hour. Never had that happen to me in ESO before lol. In fact I usually wait longer to get into a battleground than a dungeon.

I find that amazing that your queue times in WOW are that long. Never in 15 years of playing wow did I wait that long as a DPS, even when I was dead servers. Their cross server play solved any dungeon or BG queuing issues. I am curious why my experience does not match yours.
However, in ESO I have had 30m+ queues for 3 years now. I sometimes get lucky and get a fast queue, but its because someone dropped.
Other people are also reporting the Group Finder being broken. It's probably not just you.
lol This feature breaks often, as does the game in general. Welcome to ESO. Don't expect it to be remotely as optimised as WoW.

What realms did you play on? I played for 11 years, first on Azjol-Nerub, then Lightbringer, then Thrall, then Silverhand...
Maybe I was just never on a high pop enough realm. But I felt like Lightbringer and Thrall were always busy. And Silver-Hand after the merge.
But yeah...as a lonely arcane mage...those queues really sucked

Started in 2004 on Sargeras Horde.
Played on Dalaran Horde, Emerald Dream Horde, Emerald Dream Alliance, Hyjal Horde, Wyrmrest Accord Alliance and Horde, Thorium Brotherhood Horde, Illidan Horde, Tichondrius Horde. I had a High Warlord Hunter (he is now a Mechagnome, so a Grand Marshall). Also played Arcane Mage, AFF and Destro Lock. In TBC I played a holy-ret paladin "Shockadin". Really too much to list.

Yep...those are all Full pop realms, which would explain that lol

Would it not be way easier to have an LFG board where people interact with each other to form groups? That doesn't require an algorithm to match people and you could actually be as selective/inclusive // slow/fast as you want to be because you can have the right group comp for that.
Have you tried queuing as a healer or a tank?

I usually only wait between 10 and 15 minutes as a dps. Is it just me?

part of the difference is that in wow group is 3 dps rather then 2 of ESO. makes dps queues pop a little faster. and then there is also that thing where you can select more then one role (if you class can perform them) ESO used to have that, but apparently default option selected all 3 roles and too many people would end up slotted as a role they didn't know how to perform without realizing, so instead of doing what WoW did and deselect all roles by default so that people had to manually select them before queueing up - we can now only queue up as one role at a time.
but... group finder is also broken, just mean that even when its working, queues for dps are going to be longer in ESO then in WoW for above reasons.

Everyone is saying this but my experience has been the exact opposite. I used to wait for an hour as a dps in WoW all the time.
In ESO, if I'm going alone it's never more than 15 minutes. I think, when its working lol, the ESO queue is a lot faster.
