Who has a stockpile of pre-Summerset jewelry large enough to give them a meaningful advantage 2+ years later? How large of a stockpile would a person need to have to posses an advantage over the tens of thousands of players that have already maxed out jewelry crafting?

It was a good decision then and nothing has changed that would make it otherwise now.
Of all the things Zos could spend time on this is an idea that is pretty low on the low priority list.
Clearly, nothing of any value to support Zos reversing their decision or your reply would have been more than just saying nothing.
