Add-on selections not saving between log-ins

When I log out (to switch toons) etc. any boxes for add-ons I had enabled, including the "allow out of date" box revert back to what they were after logging in for the first time after the 2.8 patch. Any changes to the add-on selection screen at character select no longer seem to be saved.
Am I missing something simple? Not a game breaker at all just wondering if anyone else has this issue and whether they have figured out a fix.

drArsMoriendiSoul ShrivenI battled with this problem all day yesterday, there's a thread about it here. I wrote on the last page what tip solved it for me, but it's basically the fault of anti-virus for most. If you got Avast, try what I did.0

C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOnSettings.txt
isn't set to read-only for whatever reason.
