    Dear ZoS

I know that work on a huge game like ESO is not an easy task. I worked in graphic imagery design myself and know how things are. I understand all predicaments of launching a whole new DLC with several modifications and perks to a game so big (and amazing) as ESO. I really do. I forgive you (kinda).

    But... REALLY? Again?

I mean, you have months of preparations. You have the Testing Environment, hours and hours of maintenance, upgrade spending hours for final checking. And still the game broke.. bad.

Sorry, but as a consumer and almost a ESO's whale I should say this is really frustrating. I'm trying to be polite, and not be unfair to you ZoS. But you keep screwing up every TIME!

Please, fix it. And give us some compensation -- a new bug pet (irony), or a pony or a hat. IDK, but we deserve some acknowledgement of our patience and trustworthiness toward you and ESO.

Don't give up ESO, Its a amazing game, despite all bugs. But you need to change your development approach, somehow!

What is humorous to me and yet proof at the same time is if you go to the test Part of the Forums all that they suddenly realize was broken was all reported there months before they released the new material. Especially the falling threw the map parts and such pretty much all of it sadly, reported and never acted on then when it was in test , instead they choose to release a broken update what's new there.
Im more amazed people still give the company money for this stuff that's the amazing part.

They are well known for ignoring PTS feedback, this should come as no surprise to anyone.

I was there too xD It can happen in any dungeon. Looks like some part of code is porting character to location X:0 Y:0 Z:0. I think it is happening during combat when character is pushed by mob or boss.

I can't believe people are still expecting bug free patches.
I don't think there's anyone expecting a bug free patch. It's an Elder Scrolls game, it's an MMORPG, it has an online patcher, it's 2020. But I think it's very fair to expect a patch that is not game(play) breaking by multiple issues of which several were already reported during PTU testing and feedback. I would like the next major patch to go to console first, and see how that goes.

Asking for compensation, especially during major game, gameplay, event, activity breaking issues, is not something weird. And I would say a pet doesn't quite cut it, not everyone cares about them, or doesn't like a particular pet. So my suggestion would be, 500 crowns for every player per day that the game, gameplay, event, activity is broken. Doubled of course for active ESO Plus members, as they get double everything. It's fair, it's easy, and it actually shows that ZOS, ZeniMax and Microsoft care enough about the players.

(I did see the irony in that list of companies.)

The pandemic and working from home may have significantly disrupted the team's usual workflow processes. More wires are getting crossed than usual, as it were. Development processes are less agile, communication breaks down more easily, things get missed, fixed and unfixed by accident, and on and on. This is very understandable as the challenges of remote work are experienced by many industries and the more complex the organization the more potential there is for the entire thing to just break down. On that, the team has my sympathies. It's hard.

Assuming the management was aware of these problems, another question arises. At some point the management needed to decide whether or not to delay the release of the product to allow more time to fix outstanding issues. They did that for Greymoor, and while this was unprecedented, it means this option was hypothetically on the table for this DLC too. This option wasn't taken and this DLC clearly needed it. Why wasn't the release delayed? I'm sitting here on console dreading its release because I know none of these issues PC/Mac are seeing will be fixed for the console release. Can you guys just... not release it on console until all this is fixed? Can someone in the management please just make that call?

To add, I speculate that there has been internal reshuffling or staffing changes within the corporation. ZoS is starting to develop a new IP, and I wager some of their top talent has been pulled off ESO to work on that project. The story/lore content has been pretty good in the series up until this past year, and that's not a problem that can be written off due to the pandemic. They were probably pulled into the new IP. Maybe the lore will come together with this other story DLC (often the smaller ones have been superior to the big chapters anyway) but we'll see. I'm not gonna even touch it with the number of issues it has on PC/Mac right now. Yikes.

I can tell you this...someone is not doing their job on the PTS. Myself and several others pointed out glaring, easily repeatable issues with Daedric Prey, Degeneration, and Meteor over multiple threads starting with the release of 6.2.3, 3 weeks prior to the latest patch, only to be completely ignored and the bugs released.

I understand they are busy...but there is such a thing as being TOO busy. :/

Eh, it's all the same with every game I play for last 20 years. They start good, then they see things are rolling, qualified people go to bigger studios, what is left is what it is - rushed stuff with no quality check. Adjust or leave, they won't change it, if anything, it will change for worse.
Top priority - our wallets so crown store got a fix fast lol

What i dont get is, why not delay stuff for once when its obviously not ready to Launch. Other Studios do that too if they think there game needs more time for Fine-Tuning or Bug fixing. Its a pretty common thing i guess cause it happens a lot these days. Nothing to be ashamed of. And players would appreciate to wait a little longer for a better gaming experience. I would really like some Quality over Quantity! Please ZOS......

Like @Starlock said up above, I'm totally fine with cutting them some slack due to The Rona, but that slack should have been for delays to get the patch working correctly, not for releasing it full of bugs that were heavily reported on the PTS.

IIRC, there was maybe one patch that went out on time during the first year. Many of us complained, but most of us preferred late patches to buggy patches.

What, specifically, are you asking them to fix?

All you've said about the problem is "And still the game broke.. bad."

Unless this is a general topic about every single bug and problem ESO has ever had you need to make it clearer what exactly you want them to fix and compensate you for.

Every single bug that exist in the game since 2014 up to date. How hard is that? Is that too much to ask?

Please start making your own deadlines and goals. Please fix the game that breaks every single patch it sems.

-Every patch you break the game - this time it's weaving, falling through floors and crashing
-PTS feedback is for the most part ignored unless we riot in the forum over a change
-you put in changes not in patch notes - like making Alter useless to proc anything.
-You put all your effort into fixing performance in Cyrodiil and completely fail at it
    - They break their own store and lose money

When I logged in and saw how many sets I need to deconstruct and re-arrange after adding them to my Collection book, I was very tempted to subscribe again (I can't play without subscription). But seeing how many bugs this update has introduced, and seeing how they are not hotfixed... It's really discouraging :| I'm still afraid to login to my werewolf characters, and I certainly don't want to fall through the world or be teleported to wayshrines randomly when doing quests/dungeons.

In other game I play, if some major bug suddenly happens (very rarely), it's hotfixed ASAP (usually within few hours). And that game doesn't even have any subscription model :/

    1 - Werewolf resistance
2 - FV final boss blue screem

Werewolf fixed it about half year later .
FV fixed it about 1 year later .

    Guys.

I know you are frustrated by the bugs but look at it from the developer side. You are aware that most of the people working on the coding and on the feature development are not the people that originally created the game right? Have you ever worked on a game development? You know that in order to fit tight game release shedules made by ivestors game code is usually messed up form the very begining and because coders have to cut corners to meet them later teams working on the code have a hard time figuring stuff out? Thats just the tip of the iceberg of problems involving every single mmo up to date. The more complex the game is the more problems constant changing of the code will bring... thats just a fact.

And this game is one of the most complex if not "the most complex" mmo released.

Im not fully justifying the team working on the game, but stating that doing a patch on live server is not like making a quarter pounder with cheese and thus can fail or have unexpected problems.

You're very right. but surely it would've helped if for the 4-5-6 weeks of PTS (where people made them aware of these problems before they patch dropped) they fixed the problems before releasing a broken patch...

More like give me my money back for the time you've wasted or give me refund for the dlc I bought and you decided to change it the following week... ESO community would really agree to taking a kick in the balls by ZOS; it sad. Literally, the wimpiest multiplayer RPG community out here.
