"Login information was incorrect" with 100% correct information

Userid remembered, password copied from same file, success login in account and error in game. Anyone else have this problem?

I'd suggest heading to your account tab on the site here and seeing if you can log in there.

If you can, then there is an issue for sure. If you can't you might get a message explaining why you can't log in.

My account name here is weird because of some beta invite thing (and I can't change it without CS involvement, and I am lazy). Even though it says I can log in using my Email and password, the site only works with my weird screenname and password. My launcher name is completely different again.

Definitely double check account page to verify that your account is in good standing.

Having no membership could be an issue if you don't have membership it will say this - to get your free 30 days membership you need to link your card.
or
Maybe you're trying to sign in with your Email instead? If so then you actually need to login with your username so e.g if your username is Rainbow you'd sign in with Rainbow etc.

But if this issue is reoccurring and you're doing everything correctly I suggest contacting them via email.

I occasionally had the same problem. I just closed ESO and reloaded and it worked fine. Not sure what causes it though.

Just applied the new patch, tried to login and now I've got this problem as well. Never had it before. I can login on the account page without any trouble, I even changed my password just to be sure but the client still prompts me with the "login information is incorrect" message.

And while was typing this post I tried a login again and now it seems to work... *** Sheogorath!

This happens to me every time I apply a new patch. If I remember to exit out of the launcher completely and then restart the entire thing then the error message goes away. I've changed my password many times in response to this annoyance.
