Looking to switch up my tank next update. Really like the idea of shadowy life stealing like a dark knight or death knight type class.

Wondering about these sets.
Grace of Gloom
(2 items) Adds 1206 Max Health
(3 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
(4 items) Adds 1206 Max Health
(5 items) When you take damage from a single target direct attack or ability, you become a living shadow, causing your to heal for 1097 every second and gaining Major Evasion, reducing damage from area attacks by 25%. This effect can occur every 25 seconds

Any one know how long this lasts and does it sound effective?

Bahraha's Curse
(2 Items) Adds 1206 Max Health
(3 Items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(4 Items) Adds 1096 Max Stamina
(4 Items) Reduces your damage taken from environmental traps by 40%.
(5 Items) When you deal damage, you have a 25% chance to create desecrated ground for 5 seconds, which reduces the Movement Speed of enemies within 3.5m by 60%, damages them for 960 Magic Damage every 1 second and heals you for 100% of the damage done. This effect can occur once every 5 seconds

Do we know if the proc chance is still 25% patch notes said it was previously 10% and updated to 25% but I know its always been 25% hoping it just always procs since its damage and healing suck

    For Bahraha's Curse it's a 5 second cooldown on the proc itself ... not per target.

    You still get the damage and health tick per second for the 5 second duration. 25% proc chance.

    I haven't tested Grace of Gloom on PTS, @Rex-Umbra.

    I believe Grace of Gloom's active time is 10 seconds.
    With a 25 seconds cooldown it doesn't look that appealing..

    You should try the new Vampire themed tank set:

    Crimson Twilight
    (2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
    (3 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
    (4 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
    (5 items) After taking damage you surround yourself in an 8 meter mist of blood. After 2 seconds, the mist is violently siphoned into your body, dealing 8220 Bleed Damage to nearby enemies and healing you for 100% of the damage done. This effect can occur once every 8 seconds.

    Or just go with good old leeching

    Leeching Plate
    (2 items) Adds 1206 Max Health
    (3 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
    (4 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
    (5 items) When you take damage, a cloud of leeching poison is summoned under the attacker that deals 1180 Poison Damage every 1 second for 5 seconds and heals you for 100% of the damage caused. A cloud can be created every 5 seconds.

    The Grace of Gloom effect certainly looks cool when it activates... it's a shame that the set is so mediocre though.

    We already have a set that gives 100% uptime Major Evasion (Leki's Focus) and there are many other sets that provide for a passive Heal Over Time.

    Come to think of it... all of the Major Evasion sets are weak and give you dubious kiss-curse provisos by wearing them. This is strange considering how trivially easy it is to obtain the buff (if you're Stamina) from abilities: Quick Cloak, Shuffle, being a Nightblade.

    In fact, it's jarring how much of a delta there is between how ZOS views, say, Major Brutality and Major Evasion, with the former being basically a throwaway buff and the latter considered so powerful as to require a kiss-curse stipulation.

    I think that you could easily improve this set by dropping the Heal Over Time entirely and leaning into the "living shadow" tankiness angle (though TBH a "living shadow" seems like it should be resistant to single-target effects rather than AoE).

    -Not everyone is a Nightblade... Most aren't. Major Evasion is a huge benefit to anyone moving through enemy AOEs.
