Possible bug with Aggro (and also speed of Wild Hunt ring)

I was just doing a quick run/ride around and checking out the map and I noticed several times that I would Aggro but my marker wouldn't always turn yellow. When this happened my speed was not affected using the Wild Hunt ring but if I dismounted I could not remount until I got out of range of the mobs in question even though my marker was still white.
(edit - speed is supposed to drop on wild hunt ring if you aggro a mob / show in combat) (got message can not mount while in combat)
I remember seeing a similar bug a long time ago but I'm not sure if this is related. I did not do much testing as I didn't want to spoil the story. I'm also not sure if this is both with or without the ring, like I said I didn't do much testing.

✭Did you have the Dark Brotherhood "Shadow rider" passive? It halves the radius enemies will attack you from while mounted.
EDIT: Also, were you previously on PC using a UI addon? Iirc, the marker is white base game, and it's an addon that changes the color. I know Bandit's user interface is one of them.Edited by Djennku on October 3, 2020 8:16AM@Djennku, PCNA.

Yes but the cursor doesn't turn yellow once they are aggroed. I was riding right through the middle of enemies to discover all of the map locations. Once I dismounted and was on foot it remained white and I could not remount and they were trying to attack me. As I said this is very similar to a bug from a long time ago that got fixed.
Yes I'm on PC/NA when playing live. No addons used in PTS but I do use them in Live. It is why I was riding around to discover markers, so I could make a screenshot for myself of the map.
Thanks for the questions, Like I said "possible bug". I've been using addons so long I may have forgotten the cursor doesn't turn colors but there is still the question of the Wild Hunt ring not reducing speed once they were aggroed.
Edit: I did some testing on live without addons enabled and I think I know why I got fooled by this, my speed with sprint is fast enough to max out running speed.
