And yes - now the bots. Not one Daggerfall EU public dungeon boss is lootable regardless of AOE, critical charges, chaining or anything. At least a dozen bots in each.

What region are you guys in? Teleport to the starter island, maybe?

Honestly, the spam bothered me greatly originally, but since I left the starter zones, there's virtually no spam, except the odd mail arriving here and there.

When I arrived in the VR1 zone, I was like "By Celestia, make it so the zone chat is not shared with the low level zone"... and it wasn't.. after a few minutes, it felt scary, like a ghost town... not a single line was being typed... So empty... so dark, I was so lonely there. Then I did a mistake, and I said something in /zone... Others were there, and asked me to be quiet for a few minutes, as we all enjoyed the silence . Good times.

No gold sellers for 3 hours? I haven't had goldsellers for almost 3 weeks.

Maybe the gold sellers just haven't realized that their bots were kicked off when the server went down. Once they log those back in I'm sure the spam will return.

You are lucky then. Everytime I load a lower level alt into one of these places it is nothing but spam. Even my spam filter is not catching them now. When I log over to my level 34, I have no problem with the gold spammers. The only problem I have been seeing is the nodes going poof in front of you from the bot farmers...lol

I think the chat has been fixed, but this has done nothing to rid the world of the bots themselves. Hopefully in another patch accounts will be disabled. Not sure how they intend to do that though except via player reporting which leaves the onus on us.
