Hello. I will preface this by saying I love both PvE and PvP and intend to do both. I was going to put all three characters into this post but I decided to post them individually. I am looking for criticism on my current builds. I have been playing for a couple months now. I am CP 302. I have:
-Stam DK (Lvl 50) Intended to Tank in PvE only.
-Stamblade (Lvl 50) Intended for DPS/OWPvP (Cyro) and BG’s. This is the tough one for me.
-Magsorc (Lvl 49, very excited for tonight to hit 50 and put my set on) I am enjoying this the most for DPS/BG’s.
I will start with what concerns me the most, my NB.
Stamblade:
PvE:
Gear:
In Dungeons, Questing and PvE in general I am using Hundings, Briar and Selene’s. DW/Bow Briar + Accs (all with blood lust, weapons are infused and nirn). All medium except chest which is heavy, mix of well-fitted, Robust… all gear is gold. I find my DMG is alright, but it could be better… obviously I am only CP 300.
Skills:
-Surprise Attack, Killer’s Strike, Blood Craze, Vigor, Whirling Blades and Incapacitating Strike
-Endless Hail, Merciless Resolve, Funnel Health, Vigor, Guise, and WW
-WW line is fairly built so far. Still more to go on it but my damage is becoming almost as reliable as my regular skill lines. WW isn’t really my focus but it’s cool to pop it lol.
Note: I am unsure on Funnel Health, Vigor and Guise. I am only using Funnel Health to level my skill tree so I can get leeching for PvP. Guise is just… there. Vigor I like for the heal in an emergency.
I have my rotation down pretty good but I feel I could be doing a lot more dmg. I know I should look at trap… any other advice or changes you would make in terms of skills? I want to remain DW and Bow. I could drop guise for trap? I can’t see myself really needing guise in pve.
PvP:
Gear:
In BG’s, which is basically all I do for PvP, I use Eternal Hunt, NMA (2h greatsword and accs) and Selene’s. The stam/roll bonus from EH is awesome and NMA makes up for the loss of Hunding’s. Selene’s is there as usual. I’m not sure about what to do with my accs, if I should go Blood Lust or stay Robust for the most part. Again, well-fitted armour and impen. I think I’m all Medium save a heavy chest again, wondering if I should go heavy… I get 3 or 4 shot pretty easy but for what it’s worth I can 3 – 4 shot people too. I don’t know if the DMG in this game is just insane or if it’s my gear or if I need to select better defensive skills/roll more.
Skills:
Surprise Attack, Executioner, Ambush, Vigor, Guise, Incapacitating Strike
Scatter Shot, Relentless Focus, Funnel Health, Vigor, Guise, Soul Shred
I find I do 40% – 50% of my groups damage in most vet dungeons… but I am power-hungry and I want to do a butt load of dmg. I want to be ready for end-game vet dungeons and trials.
So, I know I have problems here. I know I should drop Funnel, again I’m just leveling that for leeching. I probably don’t need Guise on both bars but I really, really like dipping in and out of combat, I find I am not bad at conserving the resources I need to be able to do this but I am also finding that it doesn’t always work, especially with everything being so AoE heavy. I have Vigor on both bars often… but I find I suck at swapping quickly enough to heal and to get shields up when I need to because of all the 3 shot action going on… I find myself being overly defensive but I also chose to go for a glass cannon like approach… maybe a bad idea. I have seen the guide that suggests building entirely into Surprise Attack by dropping executioner and adding Rally, basically full pumping all strength and offense into Surprise Attack… seems like a simple approach that might work and I can be free to spam, not worrying about executioner (or killers strike) at all!
I have been thinking of swapping from stamblade to magblade, but I would have to farm an entirely new set…
That about wraps up my NB. My CP is built following a few guides and some personal tweaks.. I know my skills are a little sloppy, I weave my LA’s pretty consistently (I got a few add-ons this week to track LA’s/DPS).
