I'm doing my part (SCRYING) to get YOU your FREE HOUSE. What can I watch while scrying?

Alrighty, I've already pulled two 18 hour shifts and starting my third non-stop session of grinding scrying during this Lost Treasures of Greymoor event. I must have contributed at least 5% to the total community tally with my efforts, to help you all get your FREE HOUSE.

I feel like I'm at my burnout limit though. I have to keep this up for 9 more days???? Kill me now. Scrying is so soul-crushingly boring. I could do scrying with one hand and half a brain.

Help me stay motivated and suggest something I can do with my other hand and the other side of my brain. What are some good TV shows or movies I can binge on my laptop while scrying on the other screen? Are there some good audiobooks, preferably educational ones, as I feel my brain melting under the mind-numbing repetitiveness of scrying.

Have you read Shirer's The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich? It's dense, and long, but it offers interesting and valuable insights into the history of Adolf *** and the *** party. The author does a wonderful job of acknowledging his own biases in the writing, even mentioning it in the text when he comes up against sections where he finds it particularly difficult to stay objective (to the degree that it's possible to do so). He was in Germany before and during the war, and was present for the trials at Nuremberg, and the book was written incorporating information from his own experience and observations, from interviews he conducted, and - to me, most important and most significant - from documents that were seized by the US government during the war and as it ended, to which he was given access. The audiobook is convenient, and the text absolutely engrossing, and I say this as someone who has never been particularly interested in the World War I or II period of our history.

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I'm on a youtube kick... here are some suggestions:

Do a youtube search on "Letterkenny" for humor

Do a youtube search on "Beau of the Fifth Column" for shockingly insightful thoughts on American Politics and occasionally thought provoking bits of world history

Do a youtube search on "Today I found out" for trivial interesting things and their history

Watch the original "Mummy" (well, the 1932 version) then watch the 1999 version - it's a very interesting comparison

Go to the Psychopharmacology Institute website and look at some interesting information on Insomnia in Mental Health issues. Parts are free, and they do have Audio.

Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

/blinks are inflated opinion of self. oookey.

well - to suggestions. check if your local library has online audio books (most libraries do nowadays). download the app they reccomend using, look up the books in whatever genre you are interested in - rent, go off to listening to some nice books for free.

depending on which streaming service (of any) you subscribe to - catching up to back episodes of a show or multiple shows. personaly, I'm rewatching the Avatar on Netflix (series, not that live action abomination that doesn't exist /sage nod)

youtube has a TON of video essayists. pick and chose whatever subject interests you most.

I love to listen to Youtube videos by Dr. Mark Felton, a British historian and writer, about interesting and often totally overlooked or forgotten sories from various conflicts, especially World War II. He has two channels and both are awesome:

Mark Felton Productions - stories with video footage (sometimes purely illustrational, from the specific time period)
War stories with Mark Felton - audiobooks

If you fancy something lighter and much less serious, but with significantly more puns and whiskey than Mark Felton, I would recommend the Youtube channel of Sir Sic. I have never laughed so hard for as long as I can remember. Not for the faint of heart. You have been warned. o:)

I second Attack on Titan, as someone else who generally dislikes anime.

They also have the BEST Star Trek series, Deep Space Nine.

The way you frame this is just annoying...
    - It's a game, not a job.
    - "YOUR HOUSE" nah do it for your own gain aswell, as the OP borders to some kind of blame.

Dont get me wrong, im totally happy you are doing this, but please take a break if you need it, no one is forcing or paying you for this.

And to the point of what to watch, I think it's best that i keep that to myself since its mostly, political in nature and we know how this forum deals with that.. maybe, some space/history documentaries?

Ohh, there is this one guy on YT who goes deep into Tes lore. I kinda get mindblow at times over what the loremasters throughout the games have written, makes me fall even more in love with this game.

Well, let me get back to grinding for OP's FREE HOUSE ;)

If you worked on your mathematics as much as you'd scryed, i think you would not have opened up with a line saying that you had contributed at least 5% of the community goal towards 'getting the free' house. I'm afraid you are way off the mark there. You see, to even be sat there thinking it must be 5% of the .. as per last nights update when i looked 25%, that is one fifth of the entire community contribution towards it?

Do you really, truly believe your 5% claim? You must do because you've stated 'at least' so that was your bottom line guess.

Go watch some real tv, and have a break, you need a break, scrying has addled your brain i think.
