New idea for daily rewards

Daily rewards are ok but i have an idea to improve them somewhat as follows

instead of giving an item each day as you log in you gain an incremental chance for chests at the end of the week and month.

so every day i log in i get a certain chance which affects the outcome of the end of week chest and end of month chest. if i log in every day the chance is 100% to get the chest at the end of the week. At the end of the month my total chance is used to determine what what end of month chest i get.

typical week
1 ,2,3,4,5,6,7-->
7 chest day : one of 6 chests Lootbag ( 1 login), crate ( 2 logins), backpack ( 3 logins) Small chest(4 logins) medium chest ( 5 logins) Large chest ( 6 logins)
Each day you log in your will definitely get one of the reward chests ( on chest day) but each day you log in also gives you a chance of an upgrade to the next chest.

if i log in once per week i will get the lootbag with a chance of the lootbag being upgraded to the crate and so on. You do not have to be online chest day to get it. you can claim it next time you log in. It also wont have a monthly update like now though whats in the chests will be updated behind the scenes.

the chests themselves will use the standard reward coffer loot tables but specific to daily rewards like we get now with chances for extra items such as writs, surveys, materials and other items of interest.

a gold chest will be available like in the events but only once per month. There will be a minimum number of logins per month ( maybe 20) to qualify for the standard gold chest. Similar to the above at 23 days you get the large gold chest and at 27 you get the massive gold chest as the reward but also like the above every day after the qualify day (20) you get a chance for a an upgrade as well.

so if you login 20 days you get the standard chest.
if you login 21 days you get the standard chest but you have a chance to get the large gold chest instead.
at 23 days you qualify for large gold chest and every day after that you get a chance for the upgrade until you qualify for the last chest.

whats in the chest regardless of the chest also has an rng factor with better chests having not only better chances for good rewards but more rewards as well.

I really prefer to see what I would be getting rather than having potentially RNG based containers.

If they want to tack on a reward chest at then end of each month for those that logged in every day, I see no issue with it but don't think the whole daily rewards should be changed to that kinda system.

to even think that an RNG based system is an IMPROVEMENT over what we currently have (not to say that its good, but non the less i see what i get and when i get it)...

I love being able to tell beforehand if I absolutely must to log in every day for a cool shiny or if rewards are meh and I can skip some days.

You need to remember one thing, if you skip logging in you do not lose that day. You lose from the end of the month.

CROWN CRATES: It doesn't affect gameplay, it's not mandatory, it's cosmetic only. If it helps to support the game and ZOS, I support it! Say YES to crown crates.

I'm very well aware of that, thank you. I've kinda already been there when login rewards were introduced :) Meh-ness usually applied to later collectibles, not everyday consumables

I see the point about being able to see the reward.

For me i really don't care at all about the rewards system or what's in the rewards for the most part. I don't log in because of the rewards and most of the time the rewards are pretty bad like crown soul gems, or 1000 ap or crown repair kits. My guess is that people really only want the crates and the big item they sometimes throw in each month.

i feel though that being able to see and lacking any chance aspect that they are severely hamstringed on what rewards they can give out which is why this system has stagnated after they stopped giving out free crown crates.

What if they show you the big ticket item in the "gold chest reward" upfront each month but enabled the rng and loot tables for the rest for the surprise component?

The best daily rewards are usually in the middle of the month because ZoS knows not all players are able to log in each day. If they did change how things work they would still have to implement it so that players don't miss the good stuff because they can't log in each day.
Also the daily rewards seem worthless for people that have been playing for a long time. I started a new account and for new players the daily rewards come in real handy.

Why exactly do you think logging in entitles you to ANY type of reward? I am surprised that ZOS implemented this to begin with...its a slippery slope...now everyone expects it and asks for better rewards.

I don't understand the fixation on crates as the be-all-and-end-all of login rewards. When they did offer them all it did was slightly delay the disappointment because you could spend the days leading up to it imagining you might get something worthwhile, which then made it more disappointing when you didn't.

Every month when crates were included there would be a forum topic full of people complaining that they got nothing but crap from the free crates, which they wish they could delete or 'at least it's in my collections and I never have to see it' and saying they'd rather get something else instead.

As many other people have said I'd rather know what's coming so I can decide if it's worth making an extra effort to log in when I might otherwise skip a day or if it won't matter.

And building up a chance to get a crate for a chance at a reward sounds particularly terrible. You're asking to gamble on the change to gamble.

i wouldnt call it a gamble since nothing was wagered. The whole game works on a rng lootbox method and it works pretty good overall. I just thought it would be a little spicier to get a reward box every week and every month with some capacity for a surprise in it rather than collect these mundane items every day.
