why can't we buy greymoor from crown store?

I mean they are 50% off right now.. i don't think crown every goes up to 50% off... so why do we have to wait an entire year to buy it with crown? am very much confused..

    Because they want new money for new content, not 50% off for the content on top of the 40% discount you bought the crowns for last April.

    They had to pay the people to make the content, they dont get paid in crowns at half off their salary.

    they don't have to put it in crown store with a discount. simply been there is enough. am ok with full price in crown store.

    Chapters are always bought for money the first year, and then become a DLC (and purchaseable for crowns) the year after, when the next chapter comes out.

    Otherwise people would buy them with the crowns they get from ESO+

    New chapters traditionally remain cash only until the next chapter comes out. I suspect it's for the reasons posted above. They want cash now, not a bunch of ESO+ players who saved 2 - 3 months of crowns skipping that cash payment.

    Crown store purchases are server specific. Cash purchases apply to all servers. Were Greymoor available in the crown store, you would only have access to it on the server you bought it on. I found this out the hard way with a DLC purchase on EU, not available to me in NA.
