Frenzied Momentum: A Boring Design

Prior to seeing the patch notes I was hoping for something unique and well designed. With an ability called momentum I thought it would be cool if it did something like increased movement by 1% per second up to 20% after 20 seconds and maybe 0.5% more damage per second up to 10%. You know increased speed and damage over time in order to fit the momentum theme.

But what do we get? Another boring proc set. So disappointing. Really feels like these sets didn't have any thought behind them.

    Agreed, both the abilities momentum and snipe make zero sense toward what the new sets do. Mediocre AoE damage on heavy and 33% more snipe damage up-close like who came up with these. :D Meanwhile magicka gets two really strong tethers on abilities that have 0 cost.

    Wouldn't it be cool if these weapons did something other than free additional damage?

    wonder if you can proc the damage if you activate momentum and the bar swap away.

    If so this could be dangerous on bow builds.

    Still better than the boring Mag sets they keep ramming down our throat. When was the last time mag got a fun and exciting 5pc set?

    The momentum weapon would have been a good way to bring back the longer snare immunity of forward momentum we lost back in murkmire, or the hot that used to be on the ability. It's sad that it just became a proc set instead of making the ability strong and unique in some way.

    i knew the snipe altering weapon wouldnt be that great because of how strong snipe already is ( i was expecting some sort of cost reduction idk) but yeah i was super disappointed in momentum, i like your suggestion with movement speed though. I was thinking it would have to be something that got stronger the longer the buff was on you like the heal tied to it.

    Thanks bud! It was just an example of a useful and unique buff that would fit the momentum theme. I would've been fine if it was something different, but just slapping another proc set on it just seems lazy.

    Shall we talk about the useless dual wield weapons ?

    200% damage on a low damage ability that require a positional and <25% hp for an ability that NO ONE USES ?

    I mean seriously.
