• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

PvP Meta needs to be addresed, please stop ignoring the issue.

This is the most obnoxious meta i can remember, even the viper+tremorscale meta was more healthy than this. EVERYONE is complaining about malacath, venomus smithe, sheer venom, overwhelming surge, calurions, etc, etc. Nothing was addressed in stonehorn (it got even worst with the buff to procsets) and nothing is being addressed on this new PTS patch.

Can please stop ignoring the entire PvP playerbase and do SOMETHING to address this meta? What is the goal behind keep ignoring the blatant problems with the meta and maintain complete radio silence about it while exacerbating the playerbase?

That's why they are testing in Cyro at the moment. It's a step to getting things more in a balanced state. You'll just have to wait for the testing to end to even see changes to anything PVP really. That's their main concern as far as PVP currently. I wouldn't count on any major changes until MAYBE PTS 3 or 4.

they are testing lag and server performance on cyrodrill, it has nothing to do with balance.

It's actually testing AOE/SERVER and their goal is to balance.

"We would then go through each class and ensure that there are viable builds for each and make adjustments as necessary."

That quote is purely referencing AOEs getting gutted if they go with one of these test scenarios. Has nothing to do with procs at all.

Still stands to say they are balancing the game out. You can't just ignore their testing and say they aren't looking at ALL numbers. Would be a dumb move to only focus on AOE CD and not PROCS or other numbers on such a large live testing.

Guess I am just optimistic for my own good.

I think you are a bit too optimistic. They obviously always are looking at balance but that quote is definitely focused on what an AOE cool down would do to abilities.

The OP is asking that they specifically address these sets that they seem to be doubling down on further despite many people really not liking the meta. I'm not sure what's wrong with asking the question and wanting answers there.

The Cyrodiil testing on production/live servers is for stability and not balance. ZOS is probably tired of all their press on twitch being bad press since the majority of streamers are PvPers and are thrashing their game all day every day.

The problem is class and set balance has gotten so bad that you can no longer hide it. This is literally Elder Stamina Online right now. They haven't made a fun or exciting mag set in ages (and this patch is no different with the 2 main 5pc mag sets looking like garbage). Stamina reigns supreme running double proc sets with a malacath band. Class balance is no better in many situations. Mag Necro has been a nonfactor for what, 8 months now with a primary skill they use still doing nothing and being ignored? I mean can there be any lower hanging fruit to fix than Blastbones at this point and still it's ignored?

The problem is ZOS seems to be in the middle of large scale changes they want to revamp thus the changes to crit chance, and and crit damage. But the game can't wait for them to finally get this stuff sorted out and the CP system to be completely overhauled. PvP is a complete mess and they simply don't add enough PvE content to rely solely on that as a business model.

This is really looking like a sinking ship and they refuse to comment on PvP at all.

They are addressing it by adding more proc sets, causing more server calculations, and more lag. Makes me wonder what is going on in their head when they keep breaking the game more and more each patch.

Any change against meta would be "disrespectful" to "veteran players".

Minimaxing / meta is only safe when the range of what is possible falls within intended bounds of gameplay.
If the potential range is too far outside intended bounds of gameplay and what the game content is designed for, then it just becomes a way to exploit the system.

among all the proc sets I hate Harbinger the most and now they are adding another "thorn" set, and they seem to be really excited about it as well , I'm sure they have no idea about the meta .
