Try that with every class in hardest vet trials and dungeons and all that changes they made. It will completely break the balance in the game and all the work they've done that were good.

All the arguments against CP inflation in terms of affecting new vs older players are completely moot now.

First, ZoS changed long ago how CP front loads most the benefits early with only few points invested, and large diminishing returns afterwards. So the CP XXXX having huge advantage over CP XXX is entirely moot. Test a parse between max CP and barely half allocated - the dps delta is incredibly small.

Second, ZoS also added plethora of systems that overall brings a turbo boost to any newly starting player to catch up to higher CP players -
--enlightenment x2 XP earned every day
--random daily dungeon + random BG huge daily xp reward
--free supply of xp scrolls via level up advisor + daily login rewards
-and so many x2 XP events throughout the year a lot of players get event burn out or fatigue

This leaves the argument that high CP causes too much power creep and trivializes the game. This is false assumption given how much of our parse is from good LA weaving and animation canceling. But even if you disagree on this, put that aside and regardless how or where we get our DPS creep from, look at how much of the game is still unreachable to most players.

Overland - excluding this because frankly not even ZoS pretends overland should be a challenge. Even if CP were entirely unallocated or wiped out, overland would still be moot.

Dungeon - what percent of the player population has even a decent portion of al the dungeon trifecta titles? You can't say dungeon content is trivialized by CP 'power creep' when the most numerous complaint every week/month on forums is how hard regular DLC vet dungeons are, much less the hardmode and trifecta achievements.

Trials - same as above, what portion of the player base that chooses to engage in trial content has cleared all vet trials, just regular vet, much less hardmode or trifecta? A few percent, less than that?

PVP - arguably the one legit argument re: CP making PVP black/white between no CP and high CP. Which is why ZoS made that a choice now - you choose to play in CP or no CP campaigns, problem solved.

Bottom line - sense of progression and tracking it via quantified milestones are huge parts of why people play MMOs. Raising the CP cap doesn't mean it needs to give us huge boosts - just SOME additional quality of life or small increase in performance would be fine.

Anything is better than stagnant zero progression.

They can't just remove CP, players bought and got experience scrolls from crown crates. So besides pissing off everyone who ever bought or got an experience scroll, they would also have to come up with something new to add to crowncrates. This won't go down well with the playerbase.

I also do not understand why players call overland content easy... it is not for new players. Stop trying to use any change, or potential change to the game, to make overland harder! Same happened with the vampire re-work, and look at where that got us. The game needs to stay accessible for new players as well. What you guys have to understand, is that if you have been playing something for years, it will always become easy. So even if they made overland harder, or removed CP, you guys would still find it too easy. It's the years of playing experience causing this.

Just as long as they stay away from the WoW recipe of artifact weapons and items...ewwww

Maybe instead of working on CP they should remove these mechanics exploits then.

Not a fanboy of ani canceling, but don't hate it either. But it is interesting people like you continue to call it an exploit when ZoS has literally come out and confirmed it is de facto feature, gives official tips to ani cancel and weave in level advisor and load screens, etc.

Granted the mechanic originally started out as unintended consequence of their combat system, but bottom line is zos has embraced it and made it a legit feature. How do you possibly rationalize calling it an 'exploit' when the devs themselves confirm it is not?

Obviously, if I can't figure how to do it, and other people Can figure out how to do it, therefore it must be an exploit.
