Glorious Strongboxes should not have 40 Telvar or common Xivkyn motifs...

While I agree that the rewards in general coming out of what's supposed to be the 'big box' of the event are somewhat lackluster, I do want to point out that for PC-NA at least, Xivkyn chapters aren't as cheap as people are making them sound. The cheapest chapters are still roughly 5k each, Chests is worth roughly 40k, Legs is worth roughly 25k, Staves is about 20k or so, and Swords are around 15k. Even for the majority that are around only 5k, that's still 50k at LEAST to get ten of the chapters, and several of them are closer to 6k, 9k, or 11k, which means you'd likely have to pay more for them. 50k might not be a lot for a lot of people, but for just as many it's a decent chunk of change. So Xivkyn isn't completely useless to get.

That being said, they really could stand to put more in the coffers than they do. Maybe 1k TV Stones, maybe some AP, maybe some of those Imperial Retreat thingies that get you back to base safely, maybe a chance at getting two or three Xivkyn chapters instead of just one, a guaranteed drop for the style pages, and so on.

Apparently the RNG for these boxes are account bound, I do the event tickets on both PCEU and PCNA on the same account and every single time when I got Xivkyn page on one server, few minutes later I got Xivkyn page on the other server as well.

People often swear by a time based limit.. Usually a few hours between gold pages. It might be RNG just playing tricks on us but that tends to be my experience. If I find a style page, that's usually it for the day.

Really? In the first few days of the event I say lots of people trying to sell them for ~25k a pop in zone, and MM was reporting similar prices - but I think that was just hopefuls trying to capitalise. I've got a handful at 3k each in a well placed NA PC trading guild and they haven't moved for days, so I don't think they're worth anything. EDIT: that much

The trophy vaults in the IC hand them out like they're going out of fashion - I accidentally went into whichever one gives Endurance gear with around 1000 keyshards and ended up with 15 or so motif pages.

Between the drops and buying them with event tickets, I also don't see why the Legion Vigiles are trading for so much - I've got all but two pages with minimal effort already - although I guess some people are buying Indrik berries.

I checked MM for the prices I quoted, I'm in two large trade guilds with one of them being in Mournhold, so I might not have toooooo awfully much data, but I figure it's enough for a rough estimate on the chapters. People probably aren't buying them atm just because a lot of people are currently getting them both from the boxes and from doing IC stuff itself/using Key Fragments. The price will probably end up going down for a while, though it's hard to say if it'll stay down or go back up.

I've seen the price on Vigiles stuff go down during the course of the event. I think the last price I saw was...13k for a Belts chapter I got. I don't really like the style overall though, armor or weapon-wise, so I've just been giving my chapters to a few friends of mine I know are collecting them. The price on those will probably continue to go down for a bit, then go back up some once the event is over and there's no way to get additional ones.

@Arunei while I generally agree, it's not really about the "trade kiosk" value of the item. It's more that the Xivkyn motif has been available for years, that many players will have collected it, and that there are multiple means of collecting the motif in or out of a special event.

The same is not true of event-specific rewards such as the gold style page drops.

I maintain that it makes no sense to have a once-per-day golden box not drop the very best rewards as the default setting. Golden crates dropping items of lower intrinsic value (e.g. a Xivkyn motif) and smaller quantities of TV is...... well, it's just daft.

Yes, the drops have been disappointing. The only good drops I've really gotten so far was on console yesterday for the bug where Witches Festival plunder skulls were dropping...got some style pages from that at least!

The drops in this event were really weak, I only received 3 Legion Zero Vigiles armor pieces, 2 were Helm duplicates and I refuse to buy event tickets, which is what ZOS want us all to do.

Ive seen all the pages and the style pages for 1k each on Xbox eu, granted it’s not common and I’ve had to search a fair few traders over the last cpl weeks, but they have been found at that price

If you already have/don't want the rewards from the Event, no one is stopping you from not participating in the Event itself.

That's not really a good retort. lol.

Drops could have been better. The 10K gold would have been nice for many new players.

We're only getting 13 of these boxes this event. Why are any of them filled with filler items?

To the few people that might want Xivkyn, you could probably get it all for under 20k, the cost of one of the style pages they're taking the place of.

I don't know were you are pricing your pages but I sold one for 17k in a day during this event. I seems people have long since stopped farming vaults, and the price of the non small piece pages are actually pretty high. (PC/NA)

Agreed prices are way better than 1k
