Ritual Sites timer

How long (on average) does it take for a RS to start? It seems to me way longer than dragon sites in Elseweyr... Any way that can be sped up?

There's only ever going to be 1 Storm active at a time in Western Skyrim or Blackreach. If it's never taken down, no other storm will `pop`, not to mention it's entirely random where the next storm will form.

You could try taking the Great Lifts down to Blackreach, and wayshrine back topside to change the instance you're in.

Hang on... Only one between WS and BR or one in each zone? Also, I don't quite understand why they would design it this way... 🤔

Only one at a time in each zone (one in Skyrim and one in Blackreach).

It's only about a 5 minute wait in between ... but the next spawn is a random location and could be the one you just completed.

Harrowstorms are (rightfully) designed to be world events, @Amorpho ... not an easy loot train circle around the map or something you just clear on your achievements checklist. These aren't dolmens.

It's not a 5 minute wait anymore. It's actually quite fast nowadays. Within seconds of a storm dropping basically.

But they are hard to find. Would be better if they at least had icon like dragons.

If you're standing at the Morthal Wayshrine, just a couple steps west of it, you can see Old Karth, Black Morass, Chilblain, and Hailstone's clouds from one vantage point. Then just port to Giant's or Northern Watch's shrines to check the other two sites.

I personally don't even go into Blackreach for the storms-quest anymore just because they added the 2 northern wayshrines, it's so much easier to see if a storm is up now.

    Nope.

Harrowstorms are fixed map locations (similar to Dolmens and Geysers).

Dragon map locations spawn at random ... and then the dragons can (and do) move to another location if there's no players to fight.

Yes, that actually makes sense... But at least dolmens and geysers spawn every few minutes.

Yes, that actually makes sense... But at least dolmens and geysers spawn every few minutes.

And my response to that is:

The voice commanding the Harrowstorms seems to be the same person all the time. (this wouldn't explain why they're in Blackreach and Up-top simultaneously, except for mechanics~ reasons) But perhaps the Icereach Coven just doesn't trust anyone else to perform the Ritual.

Dolmens aren't really locations maintained by the same individual, rather a group of cultists show up to turn the site `on`. While Geysers appear, at least to me, as a response to a special Ritual being interrupted.
