Closing of Goodbye Threads because they are against policy?

One guy just posted a thread saying he was leaving and a moderator just closed it as its against policy? LOL Get that moderator into solo dungeons, Clearly they are the right person to get these bots out of the game.

Shame these guys take action on the forums and not in game.

Obviously, Thats why i said get them into the game and it was also meant to be a humorous and slightly tongue in cheek poke at the current situation!

Not but they are money spent... it all comes from the same pot.
Right now people are leaving due to the dozens of bots found in all the areas and especially in solo dungeons... closing the threads will not stop them from leaving... but getting people in-game to actually ban the bots/help players and so on might stop some people from leaving....

Im sure anyone capable of moderating a forum and using judgement on what is and isnt acceptable is capable of sitting at a client and banning the teams of bots... simplistic, idealistic view i know but probably true.

People have said F2P is coming months ago. Same for SWTOR btw. Funny thing is that players were right wehile swtor devs/mods still claimed that d2p will never happen.
Give 6 months, then they will really think about it or shut the whole thing down. Godd for them though that EU and US server both are located in the US ...

If i had know this was already being talked about as going F2P i wouldnt of spent 70 quid on it, I have GW2 for that, personally I feel F2P is the beginning of the end.

F2p is not the beginning of the end! Zenimax can still save its self by balancing the game! Most mmo players are casual and they must cater to that crowd! Release scaled content pls!

My goodbye thread was also locked.

I have found many things I like about ESO but also many things I do not. At this point there is very little chance I will resub before my initial 30 is up, but I am hoping Zeni can greatly improve the game in the next few months. I will continue to follow the forums and news in hopes that will happen, then give a thought to coming back, but unless I can get some consideration for the painful first 30 days, such as a a 2 for 1, month sub, I will likely wait for the game to go f2p.

That article is two years old, for one. And that was a prediction made by Nicholas Lovell, who doesn't work for Bethesda/Zenimax. He said, "They will switch to free-to-play later, in the same way that many iOS games go from paid to freemium over their lifetime." Camparing mmo's to iOS games isn't a very good comparison, imo.

F2p is the end for me. Maybe not for everyone.

    F2p equals:

Bad servers that are overcrowded aswell

Bad cash shop items affecting the look of the game or worse p2w.

Shite content updates that have a money making focus rather than actual gameplay.

The community standard drops to screaming whining kids crying OP this OP that everyday. Which the devs are bound to listen too!

So I'll stick with p2p or no play at all thanks. There are other titles or even older titles I'm happy to go back to if eso goes f2p.

Have you tried diablo 1,2? Guild war 1,2? Those two games are awesome! Guild war 2 have beautiful graphic and in my view the best in any MMO. So why does those two game succeed? Because they know how to pls the majority of the players and also have enough hardcore content for elit players!

Not true, once it goes to f2p the developers will finally realize the fact! That is majority of the player 90 percent are not hardcore, they just want to have fun. They will finally realize what they have done wrong! They will start nerf isn't some of the insanely difficulty dungeons or introduce 2 set of difficulty. In laymans term make the game a time sink!

Because some are not just.. "goodbye", as the OP will give some insight as to why they quit.

It's feedback. That in itself is reason enough.

Words contained in posts, at which point I stop reading and will not respond...
Toon / Mana / WoW or any acronym following "In ___" /
Pets (when referring to summoned Daedra) / Any verbiage to express slang (ie, ending in uz,az,..) / Soul Stone
    ... to be continued.

    Now, get off my lawn.

I agree, why shouldn't they explain why, most bosses don't give a crap when you quit but they still ask why so they can improve or even just know the reason.

Feedback on a "A mod closed my goodbye thread because it's against policy" thread? Uh-huh, I see mounds of "feedback" in that statement...

And i do appreciate OP's snarkiness...

surely the same can be said about any post or thread. Who cares apart from the op. Well, from my experience a lot do care. Same with his thread, I was interested to see why he left. Clearly the thread was closed so it drops to the depths of the forum and is a damage limitation exercise. Would a "the game is awesome" thread get closed. No Ofc not. People can equally "not care" about his positive views of the game.
