From Sunday night:
At this time, we are doing the scheduled maintenance one day early, and tomorrow's maintenance is taking the place of the regular maintenance on Tuesday.

From Monday night:
We will be performing a scheduled maintenance on the European and North American megaservers tomorrow, Tuesday April 22nd.
The European megaserver will be brought down at 5:00 AM BST / 6:00 AM CEST.
The North American megaserver will be brought down at 8:00 AM EDT / 1:00 PM BST.
During this maintenance, we will be applying a hotfix, and expect both servers to be back online withing 2 hours.

Keep an eye on this thread for updates.

Thanks for your patience!

@ZoS_ginaBruno @ZOS_KaiSchober I am having problems reconciling these two posts.

Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
Where is new content? Sigh.

I don't see the issue here. One of them was wrong. So what is the problem?

Umm. Things change sometimes? Is it really worth complaining about. When most of the major problem get patched out things will calm down and be more regular. Until just roll with the punches. It's a great game.

Yesterday was a BIG Patch. Tuesday 4/22 will be a hotfix. Personally.. I'm all for NEW PATCHES anytime of the week. Usually means something urgent is being fixed and/or removing Gold Seller/Bot/Exploits at the same time.

    So +1 For HOTFIX. ;)

I find the forums fascinating. Some posts condemning bugs and game issues that need fixing while others condemn downtime. I wonder if there are people complaining about both at the same time.

Note: This was not directed at the OP or anyone in particular. Just a general observation.

My observation is this, People paid good money for a game that should still be in beta, their included game time of 30 days will be closer to 20 days and they have the right to feel annoyed and complain about whatever they wish.

If that is the case then NO game would ever be out of beta. there is complaining and there is constructive criticism.

Do they really need constructive criticism?, They know whats wrong and they know what they need to do to fix it.

Is it complaining? in some case yes of course it is but as a customer, someone who has paid for the client (and its 30 days game time) and is expected to continue paying after 30 days we have a right to express how we feel. Granted some people do this better than others.

Is this another case of someone wanting them to fix the damn game as long as it does not interrupt their personal playtime?
  • Walden_Grimtine
It was not my intent to say people don't have legit reasons to complain or be frustrated.

I just see irony in the 2 competing lines of fix it now, and wtf downtime. We can't have it both ways and you can't unrelease the game. So, if i really really really want it fixed, then any downtime is a hopeful sign they are working on something they need to.

Nope, for me its a case of wanting them to fix the damn game before i pay £70 for it.

Oh we are such a bipolar bunch aren't we?

I'm just glad they're working on the bugs. I'd much rather see them take the servers down 2-3 times a week for a couple hours to fix things when they break, then see them completely ignore things until they can get one big monthly or biweekly fix.

I would not have issues with all this offline crap if they actually fixed the game more than break it.

It is amusing they fix one or two things, and break many more things. This MMO is making some interesting Reviews on other sites. Some sites even call it Elder Scrolls Offline, while others say this game isn't complete and stable enough to charge a sub.

But if they were actually fixing more than they are breaking I would not have an issue. But when I play I can see how much is still screwed up and the added breakage from previous maintenance.

Oh, and I have been on the server on a weekday at 7:00 am. That is when I completed a bugged quest that was heavily camped every other time I checked. The reason I got it done is because the server was mostly deserted at that time. It is definitely a low traffic time.

The patch yesterday was a big success, I at least have no stuttering anymore or lags. The game finally performs as it should on my hardware and in ultra.

I hope they don't do anything silly now, the first patch they rolled out right after release killed my fps - I still don't know why, but now its back and I am really happy :D

As for patches in general, they happen and we should be happy that they care so much. At other games you have to wait months until they fix stuff. There can never be enough patches or hotfixes, at least if they are good and helpful.

While we would've liked to have combined the hotfix with today's maintenance, the truth of the matter is it just wasn't ready to go and we wanted to get the new build out for you guys. Tomorrow morning's maintenance likely won't take as long as the maintenance from today, for what that's worth.

Are you able to tell what you changed with the recent patch? My FPS have improved by 20 and I don't experience any stuttering or FPS drops.

The patch notes don't say anything :D
