hey guys so i needed a little help, so i thought i’d ask here. i just started out playing eso which i totally love. but i’m having way too much trouble deciding what to play been torn between two classes for about two weeks now lol. i wanted a wood elf nightblade, that’s the only race i love. but how are they for soloing world bosses and the dungeon bosses? that’s what i plan to do, just do story stuff and 100% the maps and there may not be ppl always available to help kill the world bosses hence the solo play.
i’ve been watching guides from hack the minatour the youtuber, and based on his stuff you can solo with a nightblade but it’s challenging. so i’m having doubts of how ‘easy’ it may be and i don’t want doubts lol. so i’ve also made a magicka templar which apparently is easier and more noob friendly, like me, to solo the bosses with. so yeah i’m just torn between these two classes. i don’t wanna reach lvl 200 or something getting my butt kicked and then be like i should’ve stuck with the templar.
so my question is how difficult is it to solo world bosses with the nightblade for a noob like me? or should i stick with the magicka templar which is a bit easier?
thanks for the help
If you are having trouble with any stamina character in solo play, running a two handed weapon and using the Brawler skill (morph of Cleave) will keep you alive in most situations. The more enemies you hit with the skill, the higher the shield. I have had 20k+ damage shields in fights. It’s effectively like having close to 40k health with a 10-20k instant “heal”.
If your health hits dangerous levels, use Brawler and that gives you a window to heal up and turn the fight in your favor.
thanks for all the helpful info ... so what i gathered is it might be a bit tricky to heal myself as a nightblade. and also to get this vigor skill asap. and i know i need to be way higher lvl than what i am now too. what’s a shade?
so if i’m fighting a boss i have to keep hitting him or monsters to get heath back? cus no instant heals?

But wood elf is more of a stamina race, and while you can indeed go against the grain and play a magicka bosmer, it would be easier for you if you didn't. For a stamina nightblade I would suggest using 2h main bar and bow back bar. The 2h skill line, as others have mentioned, has skills like Brawler and Rally that can help your survivability. Also, as soon as you get to lvl 10, I suggest going to Cyrodiil and doing the introductory quest - this way you get access to Vigor, a powerful stamina heal, and it is going to help you immensely, especially as a new player.

If you don't like PvP, there's no need to do any to get Vigor. You'll unlock it with the AP points received from the daily login rewards.
