3 Bugged Achievements in Eastmarch

Hi, i'm writing this mainly for a technical support, to highlight some bugs with the achievements in this area.
I've made all the quests in the location (Eastmarch), as well as finished 3 quest chains:
1. Saving Jorun in Mistwatch;
2. Defeat Fildgor + get The Arrow title;
3. Kill Lob the cleaver.
(Was doing these quests in Vet content, as my primary alliance is Aldmeri Dominion)
So upon finishing these chains, i still could not get the proper achievements, though got the quest reward, and hit the end of the quest chain.
As i mentioned, at the moment all quests are complete in the area, but i still don't have these 3 achievements. So i guess this needs some kind of fix.

Brockxz✭✭I can confirm Giant-Friend achievement is bugged. Killed Lob and helped Giants and didn't get achievement for that yesterday. So I bet I won't get the 2 other achieves when I will complete zones main quests as I will try to do that today.0 -
Even though, if they would fix the achievement bug. It is not retroactive. So even though you have finished it, (like the DC achievements) they wont be rewarded afterwards anyways.

I don 't see why they can't make it retroactive. I remember when Blizzard introduced achievement system that pretty much searched your completion status and spammed achievement completion. So zenimax want to say they can 't do that and a lot of people won't be able get those achievements ever? So far the response I got from their support, raises suspicion if they will even have it, ever. I more or less got an answer like "yea we know and we feel sorry but nothing can be done about it. easiest and quikest way to get those achievements is to re-roll"0 -

Drakonklenok✭✭✭I have this as well, so shadowfen is screwed for me, and so is this. Being pretty OCD about doing everything, this is a big issue for me, not game breaking or anything, but its something that is going to sit in the back of my head and bother me, especially when i look at my achievements.2

djodars✭✭✭I wrote to customer support regarding this issue and they asked me to provide them with the name of the quests awarding the Skald-King achievements, the name of both achievements and my in-game name.
I'll assume they will investigate the issue and grand the achievements remotely when they fix the trigger. I'll reply to this thread again whenever I have news from them.0 -

Can't ?? Of course they can, your character is more or less a database of information, it would not be hard at all, just time consuming. Hell, for an achievement, it 'should' only be a matter of changing a '0' to a '1' in a column. I think the word you are looking for is "won't"

✭Also have this bug, three achievements are missing from Eastmarch and it is bugging me.
Customer service said this: "We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.
Your ticket will be directed to a specialized department and they will help you as soon as possible."

I have only very limited knowledge of technology behind MMO's and programming, but isn't an achievement more or less a 'trigger' ? In this case it didn't go off, it must be possible to fire the trigger later?
They could run some sort of a security check by seeing whether accounts have all the Eastmarch quest completedm since the achievement 'trigger' for that does work.0 -

It's do-able plain and simple, it just may not be something the support staff are given the capability and or authority to handle. Heck, the NPCs already refer to me as "The Skald King's Arrow" so there is clearly a flag that marks that I've done this in addition to all the other flags that make the NPCs talk about your accomplishments.
Achievement systems are by their very nature designed to appeal to completionists. A broken achievement system does the exact opposite, makes completionists and their OCD brethren angry.
I still have faith this will be fixed at some point. If not, it would speak very poorly of the maturity and competence of Zenimax as a game developer. In a game marked by advancement and progression the LAST thing you want to mess with is players sense of accomplishment and epeen.1 -
Yeah, I have the same issue with mine. I'm hoping that they award the missing achievements to us once they fix the triggering event.0
