Rapids at rank 5 creates a Catch-22

I think it's a good balance change and it really doesn't take that long to get to level 5 in cyro.
If that's so, then why did they feel the need to move Vigor in the first place?

I run in stealth from keep to keep all the time with no use of rapids and get right into fights no issue. I do not agree that rapids is needed to get there on time.
You're obviously not a magicka character.

Rapids at Assault rank 1 had been in place since beta. The reason it was put there was because Cyrodiil is a MASSIVE zone and you needed it to get anywhere.

The Catch-22 is this. To get Rapids I need to get to rank 5, but to get to rank 5 I need to get to the fight and I can't get there in a timely manner without rapids. In the <50 campaign at level 12, Cyrodiil is all but unplayable.

Okay umm no I’m so tried of seeing this from PvE player that clearly never PvPed you can teleport to keeps before they are flagged you get A LOT OF WARNING IN ZONE CHAT you know where the fight will be and can just pop in before in flags most fights are 15-20 minutes long and good back and forth it doesn’t take anywhere near that to RUN from one keep to another.

Stamina characters need a good heal if they don’t have class stamina heals you NEED to ride faster it just helps.

The fact that stamina players need vigor as a heal is more an indication that there is a class imbalance than anything else. This was just another move by ZOS to toss a bandaid on an existing problem rather than addressing it head on so that they can focus on adding/removing 5 to 10 points off of item sets instead.

Also to anyone that doesnt understand try this. Roll a new character. Do not apply CP. Only equip gear you get from drops. Do not put any points into mount training until level 10. Put 1 point into speed at level 10 then head into cyrodill immediately and then pvp like you have no idea how it works and tey to get to level 5 assualt. Congrats you have recreated the new player experience.

Wow... 4 pages, of what I assume are mostly rants (I'm not going to read all of them). What they "should" have done, was to leave whatever skills people had already unlocked, stay unlocked... even though they flipped the perks. That way, people new to the game or just starting to unlock the Assault skill line, wouldn't notice the change.

I think it's unfair to simply swap it like that, without considering how it would affect so many people (keep in mind, 90 percent of the players won't come here and comment on the change). This isn't like taking a few points away from damage your character or weapons can do... this completely shuts down the skill you may have been using for MONTHS (YEARS??!), if you only had the first perk and never really leveled-up the skill tree.

I have several CP810 characters, and the one I just started using a lot (my healer, since I can't rely on people who do dungeons to be an actual healer, when it's the role they chose to play with random people)... and now she doesn't have rapids, so when I'm not with a group... it's a lot slower to get around alone (despite having full horse upgrades)!

Anyway, if you can do stuff like unlock a complete skill line or an entire map of skyshards with another character, and then buy them for one that hasn't "earned" them... why couldn't they let people who already unlocked a skill for characters keep them?!! Then again... why are they accidentally giving away crowns, then banning people for using them, not realizing they weren't a random gift? It isn't like they posted an announcement when you are loading the game, to NOT spend crowns that may have been accidentally put into your account (which they SHOULD'VE)!!

One thing that I noticed when I was in PVP was that Rapid Maneuver doesn't seem to effect others that are not in your group like it used too.

This was changed a while back. It also only hits a maximum of 12 players in the group you are in.
