Botter banned?

The other day I was questing and noticed a group of obvious botters running around in a circular path killing mobs. It was so obvious, it was funny. They even had similar names to top it off. Anyway, I decided to report one just to see what would happen. Sometime later I got an email from ESO support that read this....

Status: Solved

I assume the botter got the banhammer? If so, then that was a very quick response and I will definitely report a lot more of those fiends.

All you can do is assume, but trust me when I say this/ That e-mail is auto sent once you submit a report. I report gold spammers all he time and get that email instantly everytime so I doubt it was an instant action against the individual. But dont feel discouraged on still reporting.

The response was from a bot...

No, I mean it. It was an auto-response. It has no doubt been forwarded on to the humans who service these thousands of reports. "Solved" actually doesn't mean "resolved," it means "identified and queued for work."

    Don't hold your breath. ;-)

Oh, I see. I thought "Status: solved" indicated they took action on the matter. Guess not.

Yeah it's a bot e-mail. You have no real way of knowing. But think of it like this. Is they band say 1,000 bots. Thats $14,99 x 1,000. Thats ALOT of money to lose when they drop the ban hammer. Granted they would maybe assume all 1,000 would buy the game over again to get a new account.

They are a business. So who really knows. They may also give 15 day bans or something. One of them 'Out of sight, out of mind" type deal.

And 99.9% of all bot accounts are created on a stolen credit card - so Zenimax wouldn't get the money from it anyway.

Cute, you think botters pay for the game legitimately. Heehee
