Ebonhart Pact North America

A Nord community and clan based roleplay guild

Clan Bloodskal is now recruiting all Nords!

"The shields clattered in march as axe heads clapped against the front. The emblem bore the head of the bear and dragon, the enemy knew them and they knew what was to come. Clan Bloodskal's chain mail rattled as it's warriors with their steel forged weapons and armor washed over the Altmer and all enemies before them. Their attacks relentless and the conquest ruthless as nothing was spared: Crops burned, towns sacked, and families destroyed. The Nords of Clan Bloodskal cheer loudly into the skies, their combined voices echoing like a legendary thu'um as the howling is heard into the night and before them all stood Skjor Bloodskal, a top the ruin of the Aldmeri Dominion, with his blade held high. It was a rallying cry: "Clan Bloodskal! Clan Bloodskal!" they chant in fierce honor as they revel in the aftermath of war. Once more the aggression of true Nords danced the lands of Tamriel and what believed to usher in a new era and a return of the great Ysgramor Dynasty."

Hello! Clan Bloodskal is open for recruitment and we're looking to take all interested Nord RPers into our guild. Please check the following thread for all you'll need about us and at any time you can contact one of our officers in-game or on site.

Below you will be able to find all of the IC information relating to our guild:

Be sure to read over our guild's OOC rules as well which can be found below this!

Questions!

What will be our guild's focus?

Clan Bloodskal is a role-play dominated guild and with that being said we will not be taking anyone in who is not a role-player. We expect guild contribution in the long run as well, so those not contributing to the overall RP in the guild's community will find themselves having a hard time ranking up inside of the guild. The guild is going to be heavily involved in the role-play side of PvP and in the future we will be hosting multiple grand strategy campaigns for those who are interested in semi-authentic military deployment role-play. We aim for immersion and fun above anything else.

What is the story of Clan Bloodskal in short?

Clan Bloodskal is a ruling noble clan from the Solstheim province of Skyrim. They currently hold three territories, two are in Solstheim and one on the mainland of Skyrim and the clan's wealth extends from it's: War-time acquisitions, land ownership, ebony mining, and trades conducted by sailing. The clan has a long history of violence and bloodshed that goes back to the Merethic Era and the slaughter of the Snow-Elves alongside Ysgramor. Having become somewhat docile near the end of the First Era and into the start of the Second Era, the clan is only now becoming a once again rising aggressor in the war underneath the hot-blooded Nord, Skjor Bloodskal, the heir to the throne of Clan Bloodskal. The Nords of Clan Bloodskal are religiously devoted to the traditional pantheon and also look back to their roots of the Dragon Cult as well; Akatosh is the patron deity to Clan Bloodskal. They hate and fear anything that is not a Nord or the race of man, looking down at the Elves and Beast races as sub-breeds and hold a very nationalistic agenda towards the growth and return of the Ysgramor Dynasty and the Nordic Empire of Tamriel.

Wasn't there a sword with the name Bloodskal?

There was in fact a sword with that very name! The sword was likely forged during the Merethic Era by the Dragon Priest Zahkriisos; though nothing officially says so. Very little is known about the canon of the Bloodskal Clan and much of it has been left blank or empty since it was first introduced in Morrowind: Blood Moon and then later re-introduced in Skyrim: Dragonborn. As such it gives us plenty of room and freedom to play and explore with the story of a clan that in truth, really have a very epic name.

Why did you choose Clan Bloodskal?

I've always had a fascination with the Bloodskal Blade since I first looted in back on Morrowind. There was something about it to me, the name, and how it just strikes fear and rolls off of the tongue; that weapon got ten times more epic in Skyrim when it started shooting destruction magic. So I decided I wanted to do something with the clan name, therefor Clan Bloodskal was put down on a Google drive and then later written and planned out over the course of two years since the announcement of Elder Scrolls Online. Being that we are role-players and part of a community it is expected and a duty for role-players to pick up, explore, and add to the game and realm's own tales through their written projects. Clan Bloodskal as stated before has very little if not anything written upon it besides: A Dragon Priest, a sword, and a barrow with lots of dead Draugr who are likely the clan's ancestors. It is virtually unknown what happened to this mysterious and deadly clan or what era they actually disappeared in.

How often do you all plan to host events?

Very frequently! Our first event will actually be on early-access launch day and involve the return of the army from Cyrodiil as they finally arrive in Solstheim from the ports at Davon's Watch. It will be filled with festivities and all are invited to attend. We have plans to host guild events throughout the month, both small and large scale that tie in with the current plot of the guild that involves the deception of Molag Bal upon Clan Bloodskal.

Why a race dominated guild?

Well for starters racially dominated guilds are a lot of fun. I've done these types of guilds back on World of Warcraft and they were always able to provide good community role-play, not just in times of tensions but in times of peace too at bringing people of one culture together and allowing players to explore the lore and culture in an environment where there are others of similar minds. There also seems to be a heavy lack of racially oriented guilds from what I've seen, most importantly Nord dominated guilds, and we're aiming to change that by bringing a Nord community to the players.

What is the age-limit?

We will recruit players under the age of eighteen however you will be required to have a screening-time with one of our officers before you may join. It will take longer for someone under the age of eighteen to join than it will for someone of the age of eighteen or above; please do not lie to us about your application.

"Rough Nords those of Clan Bloodskal are. The ambitions and drive to conquer much like the dragons and the tenacity to never quit, much like a bear. They're arrogant fools, however they're patriotic and hard fighters. They really believe in just what they're fighting for and are ruthless in any steps they take to obtain it."
- A Passing Adventurer

If you have any questions you may contact Skjor Bloodskal or Evelda Bloodskal via enjin and we will respond to you as soon as we can.

We are currently looking for all citizen/military roles to be filled and will work with you based on your application as to where you can be put or would want to be put inside of the clan. All positions are important, so do not feel because you are a cook or a miner you would be left out of any important plots within the guild's RP.

We look forward to seeing you all on launch day and bringing good role-play and community driven story events for the players to enjoy. Please join us as we make something great and help socially drive the ESO RP community forward into an attractive spot for role-players of all over to eventually come and participate in.

Thanks guys! We're looking forward into moving into our next big project: Community.

We're planning to build a community, an active one with player interaction in one of the unused villages we'll set as our hold. What we're looking to bring to you as the players is a place where you can come and sell in an open market with vendors, an inn with actual player inn-keepers, guards who actually do things such as: Keep roads safe, collect taxes, and run patrols throughout the hold's encompassed land. There will be laws, courts, and more to try and bring to players the the feeling of The Elder Scrolls games and add more player immersion to the community.

Our guild continues to grow in numbers but to truly populate this, we need continued participants and enlistees into our guild for our future projects. We need people who will come in to be the: Miners, sailors, lumberjacks, inn-keepers, tailors, and huntsmen. We have a growing number of guards, couriers, and loggers now as it is, but again we want an active and healthy community so players coming through these areas can find themselves immersed and even stopping in to experience RP for the first time or their continued enjoyment.

Had our first large scale guild event today! Despite the crashing issues with grouping over twenty players together in a PvE zone we eventually solved the problem and went onto run the event. Three hours long, everyone had a good time, even people passing by leveling stopped to observe the role-play and see just what we are about. I feel it also helped get some activity out in the community, to show others that role-players do exist on the mega-server, we are here; judging from some comments I received from other role-players passing us by, I can say that with happiness that there is some activity. :)

Looking forward to starting Project Community up tomorrow and bringing some RP to villages outside of the cities to give people a world RP location complete with all that's listed in the above place. We look forward to seeing you with us.
