On the premise that somewhere deep down this is at the very least a game with mmo elements (or aspires to be) and as such the social aspect is of an import:
- ingame communication:
I like "whispering" people i do not know..it leads to making new friends sometimes!!! Shocking now init..a joke on the fly, a polite comment as you pass someone by..communication; only i cannot do that in ESO, unless both account name
and character name happen to match. Result being i usually, you guessed it,
cannot whisper to someone. Why? What exactly was the logic behind this? Because 14 years now, i sure can tell you no mattter the possible issues you may had been afraid of, solutions not only already exist, but are easy to apply as well.
Give us a way to be able to -talk- to people. They do not stand still hoping someone has the time to right click them, they do not like it when randoms address other randoms through zone chat, they do not even pay attention to zone chat consistently. The wheel has already been invented. Be a different, be a deeper ESO, we all want that. Do not differ just so you get to differ. If you cannot surpass it, emulate it please.
- ingame social awareness:
Knowing your neighbour. We could use a /who listing..we could definitely use a /guild listing..and if possible, some nice filters to go with them, so that these may actually become favoured and as such often used. Filters such as rank by name, class, area or level. I am aware my tone is a touch over sarcastic in this particular post, but i will admit i am shocked at how barebones certain aspects are..has no one from your team, well payed as i am certain it is, any, but any experience from other MMOs?
- forums and community:
The concept of 'Off Topic' has survived the test of time for some pretty obvious reasons. Need we re-invent this as well? Even if so, until that is to happen, can we not make do with a selected few tried and true options? Just for the interim? Give us general discussion, give us an off topic. Other games with not even a third of your budget offer regionals too, so that people may communicate in their native langue, but judging by where we are now (sarcasm) i feel you may find this too taxing

Help us build a community. mmorpgs thrive or fail by them.
Not despite them.
And once again, my apologies in advance for any annoyance caused. If i could have, i would simply have edited (and added this to) a previous post. But, surprise, i cannot even do that! So, my apologies
