Well, they said that they thought they would never be able to implement housing, but here we are... So the dreams of capes and spellcrafting may live on!

Here is a summary of what I found most interesting from the Matt/Rich interview:
- Current ping issues are caused by a new issue relating to enemies aggroing to players
- Difficult to fix as they can't replicate stress on servers on internal servers
- They have identified some major problems and working on fixes
- They liked the above/below ground split of Greymoor but found that some people were not aware that Blackreach existed and were missing half the zone
- Next year's Q2 chapter will likely stick to above-ground, perhaps with most of the Q4 zone DLC then mostly being in a unique setting instead
- ZOS is working on a next-gen client for the new consoles for next year that will allow next-gen consoles to play ESO natively - this will look/play better than most high-end PCs
- They regret telling community about spell crafting as it never made the cut
- Lack of overland PvE difficulty due to balancing - veteran settings for overland/public dungeons were unpopular at launch and were barely used
- They are starting to do maintenance earlier to avoid opening servers in middle of EU primetime, which caused EU server to become overloaded
Interesting interview. Weird point though, starting at 2:27:22 according to Matt Fior, Murkmire was after Morrowind in 2017? I seem to remember it was Summerset then Murkmire in 2018. Hope that was just a brain fart bc if it's that confused at the top then it's no wonder ESO is in the current state it's in...RemanCyrodiil_I wrote: »Does anyone have a link to the Matt/Rich interview? It was a brainfart, he addressed this like 5m later.

So yeah... are they are aware that in 4 days NV is launching new 3 series of RTX?
Anyway, if they are going to invest heavy in Console and leave the PC to rot with all the bugs and undated client, time to play something else then and leave ESO to become console game then.

Ni, I don't have 2 hours spend watching it all, I was commenting the notes from Reman trusting that they at least somewhat accurate.

Wasn't a new class for 2021 already datamined?

no it wasnt and we will not get new class in next year since they said they not gonna increase space for new characters from 18 to X amount

ESO development feels like a dog trying to catch its tail: new updates introduce new performance problems which require new updates... and around it goes again.
In the meantime, it seems as though any and all development of new combat-oriented game systems has been totally halted (and permanently abandoned...) in favor of an overly ambitious production schedule of Overland content, Crown Store items, and housing.
Which IS a problem, as current game systems and character building options are already wafer-thin. What's more, any sense of progression in the game has also been halted, with no new abilities or systems and the CP re-work stalled until next year (How is that even possible?! Seriously, how many people even work at ZOS? Not enough, evidently.).
For the entire time that I've been playing the game, I have never even seen an increase in CP (a hear rumors that it was a mystical event that used to happen...) and we are going to have been capped at 810 for ~3+ years by the time they get around to fixing it?
That is an awfully long time to be stuck using the same old abilities on the same characters that we've had for ages.
No more black reach because idiots don't know how to find it? Wtf lol. The main quest takes you there. Man this is all bad sounding news to me for future zones. Sounds like eso is dumbing down for non gamers and its alreadg *** easy.
Also no new class? Rip battlemage we hardly knew yet the last big class they need to add. Next year sounds like crap no character slot increase either? Rip rip rip. Sounds like cyrodil is 1 out of 10 skip year.
Not once did they say they are adding stuff except housing. Eso is dying folks.
